How did we get to this point?

I have been listening to the mainstream media reporting on yesterday's assassination attempt of former President Donald Trump. There is one thing for certain, the left is searching for moral relativism. They are doing everything possible to find equivalency and castigate a semblance of blame on what they call the Trump movement. I find this utterly disgusting and highly disconcerting. The road map to our arriving at this point is easy to follow.

First, let us not forget the ranting of one Maxine Waters challenging leftists to get in the face of Trump supporters and even Cabinet members. Never forget the stories of leftists engaging their political opposition in restaurants, one even telling Sarah Huckabee Sanders that she was not welcome to dine at her establishment. There was Kathy Griffin holding the bloodied head of Trump. There was rapper Snoop Dog holding a gun to the head of someone resembling Trump. There was a play in NYC that was supposed to be about Julius Caesar, instead it was Trump being brutally stabbed. CNN commentator Fareed Zakaria even praised the play.

Recently Joe Biden used the language of having Trump in a bullseye, not to mention all the rhetoric about Trump being a “threat to democracy” (though we are a Constitutional Republic). Along with that we have had Trump being compared to Hitler, and Trump supporters being called Nazis (which stood for “national socialists”). We should never forget Biden's very damaging speech at Constitution Hall where he attacked his political opposition, or Hillary Clinton's basket of deplorables comment. And remember Obama's comment about folks clinging to their "guns and religion."

We have already had a deranged leftist, Bernie Sanders supporter, attempt to assassinate members of the Republican baseball team. We have seen parents designated as domestic terrorists because they want better education, not indoctrination, of their children. Pro-life supporters having FBI raids conducted in early morning hours at their homes.

The leftist media can try and create some sense of relativism, but it is a futile endeavor. And yes, they keep going back to January 6 but fail to speak of Antifa, BLM, and groups like Jane's Revenge and the consistent acts of violence these leftist groups have perpetrated.

The bottom line is that leftism, Marxism, only advances itself by threats, intimidation, coercion, and ultimately violence. The adoption of the Saul Alinsky “Rules for Radicals” tactics are very evident. Now the left finds itself in a precarious position. Can they continue to use their disturbing political rhetoric in assailing their opposition, or can they defend their policies (which have failed)? We have already read that the Biden campaign had to suspend millions of dollars of political ads. I wonder why?

The left's objective is to demonize their opposition, relegating them to a perceived state of inhumanity, making it easier to conduct such vile actions as violence. This has to end, but is the left capable of ending such? That is what remains to be seen.

There is no equivalency here. We, as Constitutional Conservatives, the political opposition to progressive socialism, must continue to speak to the issues. Let us not be lured into a leftist ambush. We must seize the high ground, maintain it, and never surrender it. We are watching the true face of Marxism, and it is imploding. Let us follow the sage wisdom of Napoleon who advised that one should never interfere with their enemy when they are destroying themselves.

It is truly creepy how realities are denied here. New on ATS? Who is continuously demonized here? Who is labeled as fascists, pedophiles, satanists, senile etc.? Exactly such threads are partly responsible for what happened yesterday. Yes, Trump is demonized too, that's beyond question, but who isn't nowadays?

Both parties pointing fingers at each other screaming "It's all your fault!" will ensure the divide keeps widening.

Perhaps that's the plan. If so, it seems to be working.

Instead of focusing our rage on the politicians that have created this sh!t show, they've got us getting ready to go to war with each other.

People can and will carry on and run the mouth, but
that is not the real problem. Real problem is one side.
in power has weaponized all of the branches of government
against the other side.

This is no longer a matter of just "free speech".
No longer just a matter of which side is more vile.

As an OG "Deplorable" I know exactly who is continuously demonized, in the media, on the internet, by celebrities, for all those things you mention and way more, and let me say that "HERE" is a tiny port in the storm for those of us, probably a good half of the country, that don't subscribe to the lefts agenda. part of me wonders if some of these people mistake democrat and democracy and think they wont be able to vote ever again if republican gets in hehehehehe and thats why they keep saying trump will destroy democracy. a lot arent really old enough to remember bush all that well. i was 14 when 911 happened who knows what these people are getting taught in schools nowadays

It’s not just demonisation though, it’s a complete narrative stranglehold across MSM, celebrities in the main, advertising, social media etc. it is a straight play from the fascist playbook - which might be because the fascists were always just an off shoot of communism and always left wing anyway.

I have asked this on numerous threads here and across social media - what did Trump actually do wrong as president which warrants the vitriolic hate we see now? What freedoms did he deny the average US citizen? How did he make life worse? There seem to be no answers. It all just seems to be hate Trump because we tell you too.
