May God Bless America 🙏
🇺🇲

I share the below on this defining day, as a reminder;

Independence Day is a day for American Citizens to remember the Republic’s God given “Freedoms” that are outlined in the US Constitution, and they should thank the Good Lord for those “Freedoms”!  To help Americans celebrate the “248th Independence Day” on this Fourth of July, the attachment with the video is submitted for your viewing pleasure.  Independence Day is the second birthday for “every” American Patriot.

We encourage you to click on the below listed link, to watch the video presentation that encapsulates a uniquely beautiful and historic message about the origin of “The Star-Spangled Banner.” The story is told, by Attorney Francis Scott Key who watched the British Battle Fleet in Chesapeake Bay of over 100 ships, shell Fort McHenry in Baltimore Harbor “all through the night” from September 13 to September 14, 1814.

The US Constitutional Republic was established by the Founding Fathers, who displayed their fearless courage in the face of death threats from King George of England. They drafted the US Constitution, “The Supreme Law of the Land,” and outlined the basic rules for governing the Republic. In the US Constitution, the Founding Fathers relayed their respect for their Creator, limited the powers of government, listed the sacred “Freedoms of the Individual,” and with The Bill of Rights they secured the rights of the individual American Citizens for nearly two and a half centuries. The US Constitution and The Bill of Rights are considered instrumental to the founding philosophy of the United States.

During these perilous times for our nation on Independence Day and every day, American Citizens of faith should continue to seek God’s blessing for the US Constitutional Republic.

You ever notice how America has the only national anthem that includes rockets and bombs?

We are a warlike people. We love war.

Now get out there and pop fireworks with the kids so they're more comfortable with handling heavier explosives when they're draft age.

Yes the words are really great and all but this says nothing about the origin of the music. It was a British drinking song that was sung in pubs, "To Anacreon in Heaven". Was that fact left out intentionally?

Then again the song "America", another proposed American national anthem, is music from "God Save the Queen", the British national anthem. Many patriotic songs have similar origins.

It is better to have the full truth when bringing an origin up. Not meaning to take away from the OP, but facts are facts. Is a half told history not missing something?

You gained independence that way.
In Canada, we still pay the monarchy.

……..

We are a warlike people. We love war.

……..

English translation of La Marseillaise, the French National Anthem:

“Arise, children of the Fatherland
Our day of glory has arrived
Against us the bloody flag of tyranny
is raised; the bloody flag is raised.
Do you hear, in the countryside
The roar of those ferocious soldiers?
They’re coming right into your arms
To cut the throats of your sons, your comrades!

To arms, citizens!
Form your battalions
Let’s march, let’s march
That their impure blood
Should water our fields.”
