The consensus is that denisovans where actually smaller then Neanderthals and Homo Sapiens.

They allegedly average just 3-4feet tall as adults.

Granted all this is extrapolated from only a hand full of bone fragments from the hand and jaw. So it should be taken with a very large grain of salt.

Its a fun story, hell some years back the history channel had a show called finding giants or something. Why would the smithsonian hide such a discovery if true? What benefit would there be? Hell, if such giants existed and the news broke today, would the general public actually care outside of going, "thats cool" and move on
