Sorry to be captain obvious but the way to improve your attention span and focus, is by paying attention and focusing.
A simple exercise yet very effective is to concentrate on an object in your surroundings, it could be your coffee cup. Just look at that and nothing else, as thoughts and distractions cross your mind push them aside and focus solely on the object, if and when your eyes get tired close them and visualise the object in your mind. Concentrate on the object only and keep it up for about 10 minutes. It’s harder than you think at first but it does get easier with daily practice.

You will notice when you need to, you can bring your full attention and focus on whatever it is you are studying, distractions and unwanted thoughts are easily swept aside. You are in the zone as it were.

The mind needs exercise just as the body does, you could have the healthiest diet in the world, but without exercise your performance diminish. With exercise it will improve, it’s that simple.

The best advice I can give is stop eating whole wheat anything. The outer layer that is removed, if eaten, promotes hyperactivity and attention defficite disorders. The Romans knew that and polished the wheat before making flower. Roman meal bread is a lie.

Another food to avoid is raw spinach. It contains a lot of calcium but also oxylic acid. Oxylic acid stops your bones from absorbing calcium. It accelerates aging by promoting osteoporosis. Cooking destroys the oxylic acid.

The rast of the advice in this thread seems good.
