Just breaking now...More as it develops.

Hunter Biden's law license has been suspended in Washington, D.C. after a jury found him guilty on firearm charges in Delaware earlier in June.

The District of Columbia Court of Appeals ruled on Tuesday that Biden, son of President Joe Biden, "is suspended immediately from the practice of law in the District of Columbia pending resolution of this matter.," directing the Board on Professional Responsibility to institute a formal proceeding "to determine the nature of the offense and whether it involves moral turpitude within the meaning of D.C. Code 11-2503(a).

www.msn.com...

So much for the legal career of the smartest guy Joe knows.
HUGE loss to the DC legal system....NOT.

Suspended LoL
Make it look like serious consequences for the optics.
It will be unsuspended as soon as he wants.
It won’t stop his money laundering, I mean painting career.

Moral turpitude in D.C. (code or otherwise)

True.

But his "habits" have made some lawyers a lot of money.

ETA: And a lot for Trump's campaign.

I wonder if Hunter was also as smart as his daddy and graduated near the bottom of his class?

He spent his entire career practicing law illegally. I'm sure he doesn't need his degree to carry on the family business.

I can count the number of politicians that get a tiny amount of my respect on one hand, and I have zero faith in any of them being honest or putting the welfare of the people before their own financial and power-hungry desires.

Is this a surprise?

Of course a convicted felon will lose the right to have guns or practice law; that's how the law works. Trump had to turn his pistols in to the NY police as well. He's also about to lose his liquor license for his clubs in NJ, as a felon can't have such licenses according to the law.

These felonies have much broader consequences than we discuss here.

_____________

Edit to add: Also, why call it 'serious crimes' in the title?
They're felonies, he's a convicted felon. Hunter Biden was an idiot, no sign that he's ever stopped being an idiot, and now he's a convicted felon. And because of those felonies he's lost his right to have guns, practice law and to vote. Once he's done with his sentence, whatever it ends up being, he can work on reinstating those rights.

Trump doesn’t have any liquor licenses in Jersey.

One minor problem - President Trump is not the holder of any liquor license in New Jersey, and he is not an officer or director of any entity that holds a liquor license in New Jersey - or anywhere in the United States for that matter. Ask me how I know…- Eric Trump

He has three clubs in NJ that have liquor licenses. The AG of that state is looking into whether those licenses have to be revoked after his felony convictions.

His companies put out a statement that they are a corporation and he doesn't hold the licenses himself, but I haven't read anywhere that the AG has stopped the investigation.

We'll see what happens, right? But the point stands that their felonies have wide ranging consequences. It's not a surprise.

No matter what crime you commit, you can’t lose a liquor license if you don’t have a liquor license.

Fake consequences aren’t truly consequences.
That’s the farce of hunters law license suspension.
It’s a shame you can’t see through the propaganda yet.

Thursday Night preview

JB: You're a convicted felon candidate Trump!

DJT: I was convicted by your corrupt Kangaroo court in New York.

However, your son Hunter was convicted in a Federal Court of serious Gun-related crimes, making him a Felon who was also kicked out of our esteemed United States Navy, for illegal drug use and abuse. Add to that your son Hunter, who you've stated is the smartest man you know, just had his law license stripped away, for being a Federally convicted criminal!

I would think it looks bad that they let Hunter have a law license when he is such a con and can't follow the laws of this country.

I know that many lawyers are deceivers and that is actually part of their job, but his actions actually show he has little respect for the laws of this country.
