Billy Joel first new song in 30 years

This is the first time Billy Joel has written, recorded, and performed a new song since what--? Like 1994~ "River of Dreams"

It is a beautiful song with several meanings

His lyric writing is exceptional.

The song is a bit musically repetitive but that's OK for 'anthemy' songs.

The expression is hidden behind an over-compressed wall of sound. I also think that with performances, the song may develop some really nice 'live' dynamics (ranging from whisper to belting).

All in all, we waited too long, but he's still got it. Wish I was even half as good.
