If you can touch and see the bols that hold it to the ground it's RC Christian up to his old shenanigans .
If anyone wants to solve the mystery just watch from what I understand they come back and remove it and a artist group out on NM claimed the 1st ones .
The ones appearing in remote areas intrigue me; why would someone go to such lenths? I must admit I wouldn't have been opposed to doing such a thing in the remote areas we used to camp in.

Me too! I think the last one I remember was during Obama's reign. I thought then, who has the energy and free time to erect one? ...................and no one see's mysterious vehicles in the area?
So has the government hacked one down to see what it is made of ?
Or lets say you come across one and decide to see what it is made of will you be sued for hitting it with a hammer ?
On December 2, 2020, a triangular reflective metal column was found on Pine Mountain in Atascadero, California. This appeared to be hollow and not secured to the ground. On December 4, three young men, from Orange County, referring to themselves as military veterans, livestreamed themselves destroying the monolith on DLive, replacing it with a large wooden cross and chanting "Christ is king!". Members of the group are also heard singing country songs, and were heard saying "we don't want illegal aliens from Mexico or outer space". The group's chants and slang suggest that they were part of the Groyper movement.
According to the local mayor, Heather Moreno, "We are upset that these young men felt the need to drive five hours to come into our community and vandalize the monolith ... The monolith was something unique and fun in an otherwise stressful time."]
On December 5, a group of four artists (Wade McKenzie, Travis Kenney, Randall Kenney and Jared Riddle) declared that they were the creators of the original structure, and after it was toppled, decided to replace it with a new one.[5] According to one of the artists, Wade McKenzie, "We intended for it to be a piece of guerrilla art. But when it was taken down in such a malicious manner, we decided we needed to replace it." The next day, the local deputy city manager, Terrie Banish, said that the city was "happy to see it return".
Is it private property or can you pull it down with a 4x4 ?

Just another nudge from TPTB angled to the mouth breathers to get them on the "Let's welcome the ETs," bandwagon!

You're most likely right! And I'm finding it far more pleasant than wondering WTH the government is doing!
You bring politics into an art thread!
Nugget !!!
Surely you don't ponder such horrible thoughts. No, i know you don't. Still, you are correct, anything is far more pleasant than thinking like that
Here, have a pint from an Irish man and enjoy the monolith

A pint of some Irish Whiskey would be nice! Politics in an art thread is worthy of cheers too, just to say oh well.
