Thank you all for the kind words and condolences. It means so much to me and reinforces the sense of community...no, family, that we have here.

I'm not one that's all about the "See you over the rainbow, buddy" type stuff. I have a farm and death is as much a part of life as breathing and eating and sleeping. This one was just...different...unexpected and the circumstances felt...tragic.

All week I've missed the slobbery kisses in the morning before heading to work, wrestling in the grass in the evening and feeding him his apple every night.

Once again, thank you everyone. It means more to me than I can convey with mere words.

Other people have long said anything else I could cover, but I hope the pain eases up over a bit of time for you and the 'missing'.
