Well, Benny Gantz would be a good starting point. Certainly not the final solution for Israel, but a good starting point.

And then cut off the head of the snake in Netanyahu's cabinet. Gantz could do this.

Gantz knows what's wrong, and he's not a carbon copy of Netanyahu. He's similar, but not like a bucket of ice water to Israelis. The Israeli people do not adapt well to radical and rapid change, it's their culture. So, the successor to Netanyahu needs to be someone who can speak to Israelis in the tone they are accustomed to while at the same time not ignoring the outside world (like Netanyahu does in his desperate attempts to cling to power). Gantz would be a intermediate step to get past the gridlock. Once the Israeli people see there are 'other' ways to navigate the treacherous waters in the region, they will become more willing to accept more aggressive change. They just need to see and realize that the path Netanyahu is leading them down will only result in decades of endless bloodshed.

edit to add - The successor can't be Netanyahu ver 2.0, so it can't be one of Netanyahu's age old lieutenants. That will change nothing, and it will just be more of the same. In other words, I'd love to say..."Anyone BUT Netanyahu"...but that's not going to cut it. It must be someone ideologically similar, but with a different, newer and broader world view.
