The suspect, he said, was found in a Shelby Township home, dead from what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound. He was identified as Michael William Nash, 42.

It’s like my wife was pondering last night all the what ifs. “What if he went earlier in the day? What if he came to the park we were at?” The park we were at was on the same main road that the shooter lived on. It’s just crazy that the things I have to think about anytime I leave the house with my family.

Yep too close to home.

My wife and some of her friends were heading out on M59 to I75 going to Pine Knob for a concert when this happened.

She said they saw all the police cars going to the scene.

they are being pretty quiet about any details about the suspect

99 times out of 100 that's becuse the name would give the shooter's ethnicity away. If the shooter is caucasian the news always leads with that info.

Hmm.... Remember the Scene in the Film " Shooter " where Wahlberg rescues the F.B.I. Agent who had a " Suicide Harness " stapped onto him ? Was that an Instance of Art imitating Real Life or....................?

The news this morning had to talk about how he had an AR on his kitchen table, so how bad it could have been.
And they are right.

But for some reason, he chose to take the handgun, and fingers crossed, so far nobody has died.
I'm wondering if there is a custody issue going on?

Just wish with us being an open carry state, someone could have stopped him.

Well, we can start that he was in his 40's and living with his mother. Adding alleged mental issues on top of that certainly draws a specific picture.

It's likely, as it is the common denominator in these types of shootings, that he was also on some mental meds ie SSRI's.
