I've seen some pretty good poltergeist activity on that show "Paranormal caught on camera". Im sure most people into the paranormal know the show but if not it's video caught by everyday people that send it into the show and like I said a number of really good poltergeist activity caught on there. You gotta also watch some of the lesser known ghost haunting teams that aren't on network TV but just put videos on YouTube and places like this they catch good activity quite often.

Lots of places like Waverly sanatorium are still very haunted and lesser known teams catch stuff all the time.

Destination fear I've seen catch a good apparition that shot from one room to another across a hallway. They were also on this property, can't remember if it was an old sanatorium or what it was but they saw a pretty bright orb that shot off. Now of course since the show is produced for television we will never know if it was truly real footage but if it was it was really cool

I think there are plenty of hauntings, after all something of the spirit, the Ruach, remains on earth. It is just that I suspect the ghosts are sick of all the attention. I enjoy Ghost Adventures, but can't stand Zac Bagans. He comes across so badly. There are some interesting cursed place hauntings in Japan.

youtu.be...

In Japan I would love to spend a week In the Suicide Forest taking pictures , Surprised some has not done it yet probably out of respect but that place must be crawling with spirits .

Lots of ghost hunters have spent time in suicide forest. There's been lots of people who have spent multiple nights in suicide forest, even finding dead bodies in the forest while doing investigations, they are all over youtube. You gotta watch the amateur ghost hunters that aren't on A&E or Travel channel

I don't know about that, I don't watch any of those shows. I grew up with horrifying poltergeist activity and I know it's real, and I am still drawn to reading accounts of hauntings and demonic possessions et al. I don't know why, when it scares the you know what out of me. But I am still drawn to it. I've read a lot of stories that I believe but the shows I've seen (very few) seemed really fake to me with no convincing activity. Just like one of those ghost tours where everybody gets all pumped up running around thinking they see ghosts around every corner and in every closet. I guess they could be fun, in a strictly entertainment sort of way.

Any viable medium worth their salt would never violate the resting place and privacy of a spirit or family of spirits still attached to this plane of existence for whatever reason out of respect for the dead. For most modern occultists and folks fascinated with the macabre, they're not sensitive enough to feel the empathic suffering of some of these poor souls and some will push incessently trying to get a spirit to lash out violently for a few seconds of footage that they hope will give them a little ego boost and some internet noteriety.

Forgive my harshness on the matter, and it's probably just my schizophrenic experience talking again, but one of the banes of my reality is constantly being badgered by various forms and manifestations of said "curiousity seekers" and "practioners" and it's been well over thirty years of dealing with all manner of nighttime intrusions too lengthy to get into every aspect and manifestation here, but I assure you, for all the fictional works written on the subject by horror afficiandos and so forth romanticising these types of matters, the reality of being trapped between worlds and subject to the whims of human malice, cruelty and self gratification is not a lighthearted and easy going game.

You can indulge in your fanfic and EVP's until the end of days, but the lack of compassion for souls who have not had the good fortune to cross over or be allowed their rest is not a freaking game....it's just another endless cycle of abuse humans seem all too willing to indulge in out of boredom and a chance to play with technology.

You want a haunting? Watch a freakin' movie. Read a book. Conjur the subconsious phantasms in your own mind and enjoy the thrill of a good production or wordsmith's craft. That's why such things exist after all.

For the love of all that is Holy, let the Dead Rest in Peace.

That story with your dog and getting pulled out of bed gave me the chills. How horrible, and you live there, so you can't just pack up and leave immediately. About how long did it take you to be able to leave?

I'll never complain about my story again after reading that 🤣. When I was a kid I had a cat who'd sleep in my bed most nights, at least for a while. I had a sliding door closet behind my headboard, about 2 feet away. One night my cat was laying on my chest while I petted him, and all of a sudden his head snapped up and looked past me at the closed doors. He ran up my chest and launched himself into the doors, and bolted out of the room. I just chalked it up to a typical schizo cat.

I forget if it was the next night or a few nights later, but I was drifting off to sleep, with my cat nowhere in sight, when I suddenly felt my bed sink, like someone sat down on it right next to me. I was frozen in terror. When I could work up the nerve to move, I flew out of that room like my cat did and slept downstairs on the couch. I've never had anything like that happen since.

But yeah, that pales to what you and your dog experienced.

I think a big part of what causes hauntings is traumatic deaths or buildup of negative energy in a location due to a lot of pain or trauma happening there. Sanitariums are a good example. I think the reason we see less hauntings is because of the reduction in the concentration of trauma happening in a location.

That's just my two pence

There are no hauntings because ghosts aren't real.

They got killed off, first by video cameras then of course mobile phones.

If you have ever held the hand of someone who died you know the feeling. If it happens in a traumatic or unwanted or unexpected way you will have residuals. I have multiple things that have occurred through my life I cannot explain. They were tied back to someone or something associated with someone who died.
