PFAS has been identified in Australian drinking waters across several states.

As we know these chemicals never breakdown, and will never dilute.

How can it be acceptable to allow the parts per million to be legally accept at over 140 times above the United States acceptable limit.

Australia is a wasteland, with all these policies, that are screwing people in so many ways.

My son died of a rare cancer that I suspect was the result of PFAS contamination. But it is very hard to prove and you can't remediate the damage anyway.

I just hope that changing legislation will sue companies who produce strong carcinogens, despite them knowing the risks, entirely out of existence, and will allow for criminal convictions and jail terms.

How horrible, I'm so sorry that happened.

We have a huge contamination problem south of here near Grand Rapids where Wolverine Int. had their tanneries with PFA retention ponds, right by the river down there of course. They found dumping grounds with drums of the stuff and I believe Wolverine has lost some legal battles due to their blatant pollution. I worked for Wolverine for about a year but got another job and things like the PFAs were part of my reason for quitting, even though the money was really good.

PS: I rarely agree with your posts, but you are a genuine person, I have respect for you and give consideration even if I happen to disagree or feel you're just being contrary. Just letting you know that if I get irritated with your responses and say something rude at some point.

This is one of those things that we can't overlook. Why does this have to be? I am sorry for your loss. Some cool things science has brought us has to be taken too with a cautionary tale.

For my career when working in a "field setting" we use brand of "inert material" called Tigon. It is an inert plastic like material to pass a sample thru. but it is considerably more expensive to use that consumers would pay for it.

If we would have just stuck to using glassware and put back the programs that sanitized the bottles to reuse, we could make this go away.

Sad for you and your loss. My father would attend funerals of other families who lost a child because my brother died tragically. It took years for him to come back to being his old self, but that one thing helped him and the people who shared a similar pain to meet and console the loved ones of the deceased.

While PFA's are not picnic, it is heavy metal contamination that seems to be a huge issue for our drinking water in places like that. It is time to step back from anything with that in it for sure. PFA's or metal contamination will not matter if you and yours suffer from it and that is one reason to remain vigilant. Those EPA types who do want to keep us safe are usurped by those pretending to care above them IMO. I know some who are just logical and smart as we would all want doing the work there. I know some who are asshats for the NWO.

I'm incredibly sorry for your loss; that's not something a person ever 'gets over'. I wouldn't wish such a fate on my worst enemy.

PFAS are being found in every sample of semen and breast milk taken. They're in the animals, fruits and vegetables we eat. They've poluted the ocean and the entire food chain at this point.

PFAS are known carconogenics and hormone disrupters, but seldom mentioned in corelation to the rising cancer rates and dropping birth rates.

Everything in our homes is full of PFAS, from the building materials to the furniture to appliances to the food we eat.
Firefightingers use large amounts of PFAS in their foam. Even if this problem were to be addressed, it would take decades to find a replacement for PFAS and would do nothing to eleminate this forever chemical from the enviornment.
Mankind will learn to adapt,....or not.

UN chemicals expert and National Toxics Network senior advisor Mariann Lloyd-Smith said the toxic substances were linked to kidney and liver disease, thyroid dysregulation, reproductive problems, developmental problems and cancer.

When I went in to the doc in my twenties because I felt off, I was told I was too young for it to be hypothyroid. It was stress. I was a new mom, blah, blah.

Well, it was hypothyroidism. Hashimoto's, to be specific, which is an autoimmune disorder. It didn't go away as I was assured it would after my pregnancy hormones leveled out. My middle daughter is subclinical. She has many of the symptoms and her levels are borderline. Not enough to treat, but she is the age I was when I got it. Her father also developed it young. My oldest also shows to be subclinical as well.

I ran across this study :

Prevalence and Aetiology of Hypothyroidism in the Young

It would not surprise me if it were linked to PFAS in the water supplies. Younger adults are increasingly being diagnosed as hypothyroid, which is normally found in older individuals.

I have collected quite the batch of autoimmune disorders over the years. Vitiligo, fibromyalgia, hypothyroidism, IBS. It's even possible my tinnitus is autoimmune linked. It started about the time the vitiligo patches started spreading.

They need to stop making and utilizing so much plastic in the world. They have gone crazy. Back in the sixties, there was not much plastic in the dumps around here, most stuff was made out of things that would not hurt the environment, the same environment that poisons us along with the other animals.

So what is the government doing? Well, they spend a lot of money researching ways to get rid of the plastic in the water we drink and little thought is given to get rid of all the plastic and styrofoam....so it will keep getting worse.

I don't like drinking anything out of plastic bottles, it tastes plasticy to me. We do use plastic wrap to cover things, but the bowls and plates are stainless steel or porcelain. We have some reusable plastic containers, and even some of the cheaper ones but try just to use them when sending spicy sauces home with the kids after a dinner. If we give all our good bowls to them, they might forget to give them back every time.

We can detox a little tiny bit of plastic, but not nearly as much as in the environment presently

Here in America, we are a population of wasters, we waste a lot of food and buy things that have to be replaced in a few years....stuff that should have been made stronger and more long lasting from the get go.

When i was young 50 years ago.
we use to take back pop & beer & milk bottles to
the shop and get some mony for them!!!

the milk man would take back the use'd bottles.
does this mean that that in my day
we ware a More advanced than Now?

hmm we DO have a milk man who uses
and takes back glass bottles!

But it a great way to kill ALL life and start over.
about 10m to 40m years shoul do it to clean it all up.
Again..........

This thread is a perfect example of why they get away with everything they do. Because instead of thinking, people just react and debate the official narrative they've given us. Even on a site like this. This is nothing new, chemicals and PFA's in water and plastic causing health problems. We have known this for years and years. And yet, because world govt's and news organizations are finally talking about it, everyone acts like it's some grand revelation.

Instead, we should be asking why? Why now? Why are they suddenly admitting it? Why are they suddenly covering it? People should realize by now that nothing is by accident and there must be a reason they are suddenly making this a big deal. Is it to get us to stop using plastic? Or is it to cover for something else, like maybe they are establishing a narrative to blame for all the increased cancer we are and will continue seeing from here on out. A narrative to cover for what the real cause is.

Either way, it isn't because they suddenly care about us and want us all to live to be 150 years old. After all, we are the same people that need to be enslaved and die in order to save their planet.
