Found pigs hoofs around my town

Okay this is strange. I live in New Jersey. Recently people have reported seeing pig hoofs in the parking lots of stores around town. One was at the Walmart and one was at our Shop rite . We dont have pig farms near us . Has anyone else heard of this before? Not sure if it is just a prank or weird voodoo. Any ideas?

How many have been found? Assuming 4 hooves equal one pig it could be just one animal. A butcher or barbecue smoker would have pig feet readily available. Maybe someone who works at a local shop thinks it is an amusing prank.

Those are pigs feet not hooves.

Hooves are sold as dog treats, just the hard part on the end, probably sold in Walmart.. You can buy the feet in jars in Walmart too, pickled pigs feet.

Are those pickled? I have seen them pickled with the hair still on. I don't eat them myself but I had a friend that did.

It looks like a prank of convenience to me.

We call them pigs trotters on this side of the pond , I hate the smell of cooking pork or lamb and cannot enter anywhere it is being cooked

We have the largest Mosque in the US. People do throw swine parts over the fence.
