I'm probably going to be banned

I am sensing some bias from some moderators that openly advertise another forum so I guess I will be banned from both , In my opinion if you advertise another forum to get others to join from a member base of the previous forum you moderated and still moderate you should be removed from moderation of previous site .

I'm sorry but Deny Ignorance 's lay out don't turn me on .

It's a great site all the same just don't enjoy navigating it .

However pick a site to moderate you cant do both .

Guess this will be my last post as I will be capped .

The only thing I can think of allowing Moderators recruiting is they are paid by the same check .

I don't know about the other site...but Moderators aren't getting paid here.

I was told they don't from one of the top moderators and I asked why do it then , Reply was I enjoy the community .

I'm aware of that but why would the owners let moderators recruit members to another site and still moderate this site if they were not financially connected .

The Mods do a great job.
Sure, we all disagree with some of their decisions every now and then.

Getting paid.
I'm pretty certain they don't.

I like the other site and appreciate the reasoning behind it....and it doesn't get anywhere near as many dickheads posting there as ATS does nowadays.

I'll probably stay here till it does eventually go pop but I like visiting DI as well, personally I see no conflict and don't really understand the big issue.

What exactly is the problem?

The owners are absentee. They don't do anything here. They might as well not exist.
And that's why this site will fail. No maintenance from the owners.

We've had mods moderate other sites, it's never been a big deal. Granted, recruitment has always been a no no, but we're in uncharted waters. The only reason people are pulling members to DI is (as far as we're concerned) as a public service to the community. We're one fast twitch away from going dark, and if the current ownership cares one whit about that, it's news to us. This at least gives us a fighting chance at continuity.

Full disclosure, I am not currently a member at DI, and may never be. But the staffers there who migrated from here have my full support.
