Chase Oliver being nominated as Presidential candidate for the Libertarian party was a travesty in my opinion. I know it has driven many away from the party.

I won’t repeat my rant but I will note that Chase is far left and anti-Ron Paul. Who, for me, Ron Paul is the very definition of Libertarian thought/positions. He is only politician I have ever fully supported and donated to their election efforts. I still wear my ReLOVEution shirt.

I was devastated the party went the direction it did.

But now I am regaining hope as many if not most of the Libertarian official accounts are, quietly but publicly renouncing support for Chase by affirming they are Ron Paul libertarians.

I now have a little hope and see the election of Chase as a hijack of the rather than representative of the party.

Maybe to little to late for some Libertarians but I want to hope. We really need a good liberty focused party.

I wouldn't be surprised if Chase was a democrat plant. They are a malignancy in our political system. They are willing to go to any length necessary to keep power.

Being libertarian and anti Ron Paul is just openly fracturing the party.

I don’t like dogma or putting someone too high on a pedestal, but Paul helped bring a lot of attention to the libertarian party.

All that said, the other two options have together added 14t to the national debt. Almost doubling it in two terms.

So that’s where we’re ultimately at.

Somewhere underground, in a top-secret bunker, a group of people gathered around a table.

"How can we make sure that the Libertarian Party is never taken seriously?", Hillary asked.

Chase Olive leans forward and says, "I have a plan."

Yeah, and Chase Oliver wants wide open borders and that means billions upon billions upon billions spent on illegals. That's not 'libertarian'. And that's not cheap. That may not be official 'national debt', but it sure is a financial black hole for the country.

ALL options for POTUS suck.

To be fair one of them had covid thrown at them while the other is spending on wars and illegals. Its not apples to apples.

It's cognitive dissonance.

It would be the same as saying they're a communist but anti Stalin.

Both of them did multi trillion dollar packages for COVID spending.

Every president sees some kind of crisis, that’s how we judge the good ones if they handle it well.

All recent presidents have fumbled their crisis and added to debt. It’s what makes the libertarian party more attractive since fiscal responsibility is one of their pillar issues. Both other party has been fiscally responsible for decades.

Immigration needs to be reigned in. Allowing illegal immigrants in is unfair to everyone involved.

The American people take on burden and illegals get exploited.

It shouldn’t be partisan for sensible immigration policy.

Love Ron Paul. Andre Marrou, Harry Browne and Michael Badnarik were decent too. But then they nominated Bob Barr and Gary Johnson/Bill Weld. I chose not to vote for them.

As for the Libertarian platform, they generally do support open borders. But, even then, they wouldn't incentivize illegal border crossings with the pay and benefits that they are getting now. They also tend to think government should stay out of the abortion matter.

I think Libertarians are going to vote for their own candidate. After all, they sent the majority of their delegates to elect him. He didn't win for no reason. And there quite a few others that were similar to him.

However, there are many people who are Libertarians in Name Only (LINO), but when push comes to shove they will vote what they really are -- MAGA.

Explanation: S&F!!!

The American Libertarian Party possibly shouldn't exist and here is why ...

The Political Compass

Libertarians are ANARCHISTS, where NOBODY IS SUPPOSED TO BE IN CHARGE i.e. No Government!!!

Personal Disclosure: As a ideological Libertarian I say 'I rule me, and you rule you. Please don't make me rule over you as I am a very bad authoritarian ok!

I used to be a militant marxist communist but I changed ... I changed to this ...

But I didn't like the center very much, it is no-mans-land and it makes one a target for all the extremists and it is too compromised and compromising ...

And so I wanted to get to AnCap ... but I ended up here instead ... In MAGA country!

Which is just perfect as anarchy aka no government is great freedom, but it is soon overthrown by an organized oligarchy who kill off all the anarchists and then install their own crappy form of government.

I totally dislike UNLIMITED BIG Government, which is what we all have now in the west.

I prefer a LIMITED, by a conservative constitution, SMALL Government.

Just as the founding fathers originally created and intended!

As for Chase, he is clearly wrong as my political compass map shows Ron Paul 2004 as a centrist to right wing libertarian!

What have the founding fathers given us eh? A REPUBLIC, IF WE CAN KEEP IT!!!

P.S. It would be nice for the Libertarian Party to get 5% of the vote so that they get government funding to run in future elections, but I think that undermines what anarchist libertarians are all about.

How are you confused? In both threads I am saying Chase Oliver is a subversion of the libertarian party.

In that one I had given up hope.

In this one I’m regaining a little hope as libertarian parties in states around our nation are standing up and rejecting Chase and his anti-Ron Paul open borders drag queen children hours.

Some firmly but politely like in my OP. Some quite quite … um… vociferously like Montana:
