Hi ATS.

Rarely have I spoken much about politics in the UK on ATS. However, with a snap General Election now called for July 4th, because the Conservatives would rather rip off the band aid & get the pain over with as quickly as possible, many in the UK are questioning the traditional party lines & considering alternatives to the mainstream UNIPARTY, comprised of Labour & the Conservatives, which has essentially become a competition as to which globalist lunatic you want to drive the nation further into abject failure on so many fronts.

There are murmurs of change stirring, however. The Reform Party, led by Richard Tice, is doing pretty well in recent polling, and they offer a sort of 'Conservative-Lite' approach. I believe that they may indeed be better than the current incumbents of the Conservative Party, who have systematically failed in multiple areas over the past decade. However, there is a better choice yet, one which is at the current time a very small prospect, yet which represents true, common sense, libertarian/ social conservatism policies which comprehensively address the many areas of UK politics & policy which have been driven into the ground by the Conservatives in recent years.

Here is the Heritage Party Manifesto for 2024.

For all our UK readers, I would highly recommend you give it a read, give it a chance, you will find how remarkably broad, high & deep their changes could & should be in this once great nation of ours. It is a manifesto calling for root & branch change, yet making it eminently practical & sensible, perfectly achievable. A low tax, free market, socially conservative approach which emphatically delivers a beautiful libertarian 'Heritage' solution to the many scathing needs which currently strike deep into the heart of this nation. Please do consider their manifesto pledges as perfectly possible objectives that can be achieved in a near-term future. They focus a lot on withdrawing from the various dodgy globalist agreements & covenants which have ruined our economy & the fabric of our society.

Here is a selection of the great policy objectives being proffered by the Heritage Party. These guys, as noted, are for root & branch change, and they come across as being highly cogent, thoughtful & capable of managing the complex needs of a modern society that has been deeply scarred by globalist projects such as Net Zero, the WHO, ESG & the WEF.

For a nation to thrive it must be connected to its roots. We as the living generation are responsible for looking after the heritage which has been passed to us from our forefathers, and we have a duty to pass it on to the generations which will come after us. This is the basis of social conservatism.

Successive governments have eroded our freedom, given away our sovereignty and mismanaged our economy.

The Heritage Party exists to return to the principles of social conservatism, to reverse the cultural destruction wreaked by politically correct ideologies and to return to our true traditions and heritage. In embracing these principles, we believe the United Kingdom can once again become a great and prosperous nation.

.....

We have a great and proud history, but our culture and heritage are under severe attack by subversive ideologies in the guise of political correctness. This is a real and present danger to the fabric of our society. The slow corrosion of the ‘Long March Through the Institutions’ is now evident. Marxist groups and activists openly agitate to smash capitalism, disrupt the nuclear family, defund the police and close prisons while accusing British society of systemic injustice.

The Heritage Party rejects these false narratives and believes we should celebrate our culture and heritage. Our society based on liberty and enterprise balanced by individual responsibility allows the opportunity for citizens to prosper. Our Common Law based on Christian principles is the fairest system of justice in the world, and the United Kingdom is one of the best places in the world for members of minority communities to live.

.....

There should be no law or penalty for expressing controversial opinions, making jokes, or engaging in banter. This means supporting the freedom of speech of people who have differing views to ourselves, even if we find such opinions offensive. Everyone has the right to freedom of belief, freedom of speech and freedom of expression, provided they are not inciting violence or crime, or directly threatening another person.

Everyone must have the right to discuss and criticise all ideologies and texts without fear of being harassed by the state for their opinions. This right has been eroded over recent decades by the burgeoning concept of so-called ‘hate speech’, which is a term used to impose ‘repressive tolerance’, whereby only the prevailing ‘politically correct’ viewpoint is tolerated, and other views are stifled or sanctioned, even if they are held by the majority.

.....

Free speech must also be ensured in the media, both mainstream and social media. Broadcasters, reporters, journalists and commentators must be free to say anything they wish provided it is lawful and does not incite crime or violence. The state should not be allowed to shut down people and organisations on the spurious grounds of ‘misinformation’, ‘disinformation’ or ‘bias’.

.....

The draconian lockdown laws and regulations implemented during the Covid era were an egregious and unlawful attack on our civil liberties. The Heritage Party opposes arbitrary restrictions on citizens and businesses and will ensure there are no more lockdowns.

The technology now exists to create a dystopian 24-7 surveillance state where everyone and everything can be monitored continuously. It is therefore more important than ever to guarantee liberty and ensure that individuals continue to have the right to privacy and anonymity. The law should ensure that people can live a private life by default unless they choose otherwise. Personal information should not be held without consent. This principle should also apply to personal financial transactions. Cash must remain an option for purchasing goods and services at retail outlets for people who choose not to use electronic payment methods. We oppose any moves toward a ‘cashless society’ which would discriminate against many vulnerable, elderly and poorer people who do not have access to banking and electronic payments.

.....

School children should not be exposed to unscientific nonsense like queer theory or gender fluidity. It is a scientific fact that there are two sexes: male and female, which are determined by anatomy and chromosomes. Previously on the fringe of radical thought, gender ideology has been mainstreamed to the detriment of children’s well-being. Transgender propaganda which confuses children about their biological sex and damages their natural development as boys or girls should not be allowed in schools.

To protect children, we will introduce Hungarian-style legislation to prohibit the promotion of LGBTQQIAAPPP*+ ideologies and practices to minors under 18-years-old.

.....

...[W]e must leave the ECHR and trust that our own system of Common Law will better protect the human rights of our citizens without the interference of foreign activist judges.

All glory to God, may we witness change in our land...

FITO.

The ‘first-past-the-post’ system is undemocratic. It is not fit for purpose in this era of multiple parties. Most candidates are elected with fewer than 50% of the votes, and thus the majority has no true representation.

The Heritage Party supports Proportional Representation in all elections, from Parliament to local districts and boroughs. Only then will all votes matter. Instead of the majority of the electorate voting tactically to keep out the worst candidate or party, people will be free to vote positively to elect a party or candidate they genuinely support and know that their vote really does count. That is a far healthier system.

The historic House of Lords and the recently-created Supreme Court have been corrupted by being stuffed full of party apparatchiks. Few Peers and Law Lords are now independent, free-thinking cross-benchers with a lifetime of service to the nation. These bodies need radical reform to make them fit for the 21st century providing genuine, safe independent scrutiny.

The last decade has seen a plethora of new and expensive political posts created which duplicate or complicate existing roles. These include Police and Crime Commissioners, Metro Mayors and elected local Mayors. All of these positions waste vast sums of taxpayers’ money for no benefit. They should be scrapped and their functions returned to county or borough councils.

We will scrap the Scottish Parliament and the Welsh Senedd and return their powers to Westminster or local councils as appropriate.

The Heritage Party will take practical steps to ensure the security of elections and end election fraud. Postal voting should be restricted to the armed forces and severely disabled voters. Voter ID must be presented at polling stations, and voting should be restricted to British citizens only. Students must only be registered to vote in one location to prevent double-voting. Counting must continue to be done manually rather than using electronic counting machines.

. . . ensure that we produce enough energy to keep the lights on and power our industry.

We will open new oil fields and gas fields in the North Sea . . .

. . . we will commission 20 or more small nuclear power stations . . .

. . . we shall explore the possibility of harnessing the power in tidal rivers . . .

heritageparty.org...

This is written by the usual energy sellers. They just want your money. First in any sensible energy manifesto would be, 'We must use less'. I don't see that message here.

Permanently plugging abandoned oil and gas wells is beyond our ability. Plugs fail and leak oil and gas. Leaks also occur in the fractured rock around the wells. The easy stuff has been taken. Drilling in more challenging conditions results in more difficult plugging.

In the North Sea, cost estimates keep rising as more jobs are done. The annual Decommissioning Insight survey by the industry group Oil and Gas UK found that the average cost of plugging and abandoning a subsea exploration well there nearly doubled to USD 27.5 million in 2014, compared with the average in 2013.
jpt.spe.org... In the words of a major player I know, "We're leaving a huge mess behind for our children to clear up".

Nuclear power is a nightmare. I'm sitting just a few miles from huge amounts of radioactive graphite that, with our current technology, are too dangerous to be approached for decommissioning for many decades.

. . . dismantling of the core will not be until approximately 85 years after reactor shutdown.
www-pub.iaea.org...

Tidal sounds good if you can deal with the colossal amounts of silt that have washed down our rivers since the Bronze Age forest clearances.

I am working to maintain and protect a 6,000 year old piece of our heritage. I fully support all the sensible parts of the Heritage Party message, but the energy part has been dictated by the usual greedy and unimaginative salespeople.

That all sound good but it doesn't address one of your main problems affecting your heritage and cultural standards. It is the same problem we have here in the US. Subversive powers are undermining your, as well as our historical cultures and history by intentional 3rd world culturally averse populations. It is the intentional dilution of culture and heritage of the host nations. Illegal immigration needs to be arrested and deported back to their home nations and legal immigration needs to be slowed to a manageable momentum for proper assimilation into the prevailing culture.

Rubbish, the country needs cheap energy not stupid bird mincing windmills or Chinese solar panel. They are leaving a mess for they future plus the carry on involved with making and maintaining for little energy.
Have you every worked in anything to do with North Sea oil,I bet no therefore you don't have a clue.
The tiniest piece of oil on a pipe returning onshore even leads to "OMG pullution, health and safety go mad ASAP!"
Without oil and gas we will be back to the stone age.
Your lines about people profiting from it,never mind the prosperity it brings to North East Scotland and beyond commoners is irrelevant to a communist of which you reveal yourself.
Not cool, people like yourselves attitude will be the death of many people but that's what communists do isn't it?

I'm arguably the biggest North Sea oil whistleblower, for the safety of the workers. I saw the photographs of the cracks in the Ninian Central and I brought this to the attention of Sandy Stewart, HSE inspector for the Ninian Central at the time. The result was a staged 'emergency' and the excuse to get a hundred health and safety inspectors on board to comb every inch.

Those fields have been hotly-contested because they both have large oil storage cells in their legs – with concern that thousands of tonnes of oily-sediment contents within them could be gradually released into the sea over time, harming the environment.

The argument has been around the practicalities of removing those substances.

But it’s a different story for Ninian Central.

“In Ninian’s case it was always a pipeline job, so you don’t have the same issues of garbage, pollutants, being put into storage cells.

“Provided it is clean concrete, there’s unlikely to be the strength of objection you’ve currently got on the Brents and the Dunlin.”

It may be theoretically possible to re-float the structure and get it moving.
www.energyvoice.com...

When that article was originally published they featured one of my videos, then realised it led back to ATS and took the video down. Ha ha.

The Ninian Central was always a pipeline job because the storage cells couldn't be used because of the cracks which, until I blew the whistle, were an industry secret. It is in no way possible to re-float it. 600,000 tons bearing down on the seabed causes hundreds of tons of mud to stick to the bottom. When they tried to re-float a much smaller similar platform the mud began to break off in huge lumps as the platform floated up making it uncontrollably unstable. With the cracks and the subsequently corroded pre-stressing cables in the Ninian Central attempting a re-float is far out of the question. The plan to saw it off below ships hull depth with a massive wire saw between two tugs has been scrapped as far too dangerous given the sea conditions in the area.

This is the incredibly courageous man, no longer with us, who climbed one of the cranes and took the photographs of the cracks. He heard it was all being covered up so he joined the queue for the work-boat, got on board the rig, which was moored offshore having outgrown the dry-dock, climbed the crane with a medium format Hasselblad in canvas work bag, carefully took the photographs, climbed back down, took the work boat back to shore and walked off-site.

I was present when the police arrived to take his 9mm Beretta, they couldn't take the Bruno rifle because it was licensed, but he had far too much ammunition which he dumped in the loch that night, he was prepared for a siege. I was in a small boat with him when the Howard Doris management launch started heading towards us and he thought they were going to drown us.

Part of the Ninian Central scam was pretending they wanted to build it where all the rich people have their yachts. Waiting for the outcry. Having a fake public hearing that involved a lot of time 'forced' to reside in a delightful hotel. Offering the chance for the yard to the Kishorn community. Then shafting the Kishorn community. Everything was a lie. I could go on for days about the way the Kishorn community was lied to and abused by Howard Doris.

The Youtube name you see there, UnderTerrainGrunter? It's a reference to UTG Union Terrace Gardens.

THE offer of a £50 million gift by oil tycoon Sir Ian Wood to help transform the heart of Aberdeen’s city centre is set to be formally rejected at a meeting of the city council this week.
www.scotsman.com... I used the UTG controversy as a Trojan Horse to carry my message about the cracks in the Ninian Cenral. When I told my brother I was at war with Ian Wood he looked a little embarrassed and said, "I know Sir Ian, I've done business with him". I've had so many laughs throughout the saga of the Ninian Central and they haven't yet put the promised bullet in my head which was the only communication I ever received back apart from Sandy Stewarts awkward phone calls.

Poor Sandy. When I phoned him, after confirming his position as being in charge of safety on the Ninian Central I said, "How much do you know about the construction?". There was a long pause before he carefully said, "I know everything about all modifications and repairs to the Ninian Central, but I know very little about the construction". He knew very little because all the paperwork disappeared as soon as it was finished. Clearly he was aware that something major was being hidden, and I told him about the disguised cracks. Then it all made sense to him. It should never have been finished.

I could talk for hours about the Ninian Central from conception to the present day, and particularly the effect it had on the local communities and the roads and bridges, which according to the promises were not to be used as everything was said to be coming and going by sea. A total lie.

The biggest platform in British waters is a lemon.
