I'm sure there is a reason behind it. I think South Korea dropped pamphlets on North Korea recently and this is their retaliation (sorry I just skimmed the article linked in OP because..poop bombs kinda made my brain wander.) I wonder if they had to hire people to supply the "waste" or if it was supplied by the prisoners or what...dunno...just wow.

I guess the juvenile side of me finds that somewhat amusing. Better than icbms or something more nefarious

Lame attempt at biological warfare.
But still ... illegal and provocative.

The reports say there was also explosives on some of the packages-
I would be taking that seriously as it may be some kind of dumb/cheap bio weapon.

Even if there are no bio weapons/diseases in the packages-it may be a dry run or a way to distract hazmat teams from another location,so its potentially sketchy as heck.

This here, the south sent balloons containing propaganda material on USB sticks and flyers and stuff first and now they got some sh!t back xD

What I read said that some balloons carried what they suspected was "animal excrements".

I guess most of you wouldn't know this but there isn't any fertilizer in Korea, they literally use $h#t to fertilize rice fields, miles of it. It does not surprise me that they had this much on hand to do this with.

Now we know what the Kims have done with their poop over the years and explains the myth that they don't need to excrete!!

Still, that just leaves me with more questions...who collected it, what type of animals, who handled the "bag stuffing" process...see? The questions change a bit, but there are still questions...
