"They Did Not Repent"

This is more of a brain-storm. As I was sitting here eating a pizza I made and watching TV scriptures came into my mind and I pressed paused and started to think about them. And I started to look a couple up and this is what is coming to me about these thoughts.

Awhile ago I wrote this thread entitled: I Will Incite Them to Jealousy With What is Not a People. There we see how God became indignant at the Israelites as he lead them out of Egypt. After 3 months of travel through the Wilderness and reaching the holy mountain, Mount Sinai, the entire nation of Israel stood before Jehovah who appeared to them out of a cloud on the mountain with lightnings and thunders and he stipulated to them that he would make them his covenant people if they agreed to serve him and no one else and keep his laws and regulations. This was God himself talking from the mountain. And the entire nation agreed and entered into the Law Covenant as a nation dedicated to Jehovah. Now as soon as Moses went up into the mountain to receive the Law for the 40 days and 40 nights, the Egyptians that had joined the Israelites induced them to make a golden calf and to bow down and worship it. And Jehovah got incensed at this to the point he said he would annihilate the nation and make a nation out of Moses. They had broken his covenant as soon as they made it. And that is when Jehovah made that statement. The entire thread is a good read.

Now when Moses returned to the mountain to intercede on behalf of the people after the Israelites had sent out spies to spy out the land of Canaan and they returned with a bad report, 10 of the spies did, 2 - Joshua and Caleb, returned with a good report. The entire nation of Israel started to groan and complain and wanted to return to Egypt. This was very very serious. Because you see, this generation of people had signs and miracles they saw as no other people on earth up until that time. Jehovah had had enough of that wicked generation. In fact he mentioned that 10 times he had shown them his glory. For them the lack of faith was a grave sin as they had the 10 plagues, the parting of the Red Sea, the signs Moses performed before the elders of Israel when Jehovah sent him, the pillar of cloud by day, and the pillar of fire by night, Jehovah God talking to them from the cloud on the mountain, the miraculous provision of food and water. They had an overabundance of proof of Jehovah's Godhood:

"Then Jehovah said: “I forgive them according to your word. But on the other hand, as surely as I live, all the earth will be filled with the glory of Jehovah. However, not one of the men who have seen my glory and my signs that I performed in Egypt and in the wilderness and yet have kept testing me these ten times and have not listened to my voice will ever see the land about which I swore to their fathers. No, not one of those treating me without respect will see it."-Numbers 14:20-23.

So Jehovah swore that all of those 18 years and upward would die in the wilderness and would not inherit the land he had promised to give their forefathers. And for the next 40 years Jehovah actively was putting that wicked generation to death in the wilderness until they had all died off.

"The time it took us to walk from Kaʹdesh-barʹne·a until we crossed the Valley of Zeʹred was 38 years, until the entire generation of the men of war had perished from the camp, just as Jehovah had sworn to them. Jehovah’s hand was against them to eliminate them from the camp until they had perished."-Deuteronomy 2:14-15.

Bear with me here this thought continues. When Jesus was on earth he said that Sodom and Gomorrah would rise up in the judgement against the wicked generation he was preaching to. That faithless generation of Israelites. He said that if all the signs he had performed in Judea were being performed in Sodom and Gomorrah those people would have long ago repented:

"And you, Ca·perʹna·um, will you perhaps be exalted to heaven? Down to the Grave you will come; because if the powerful works that took place in you had taken place in Sodʹom, it would have remained until this very day. But I say to you, it will be more endurable for the land of Sodʹom on Judgment Day than for you.”-Matthew 11:23-24.

And we are told that it is better off for a person to remain ignorant, than after his coming to know the truth to reject it and return to the things behind:

"It would have been better for them not to have accurately known the path of righteousness than after knowing it to turn away from the holy commandment they had received. What the true proverb says has happened to them: “The dog has returned to its own vomit, and the sow that was bathed to rolling in the mire.”-2 Peter 2:21-22.

The governing body of Jehovah's Witnesses have come to an understanding that these and other scriptures indicate that not everyone had a witness given to them in Noah's day when he was preaching about the coming flood. And there were ignorant people that died in Sodom and Gomorrah so they may receive a resurrection of judgement, just as the evildoer that died at Jesus' side, in God's great mercy, so they may learn the truth.

They have also come to an understanding that even AFTER the great tribulation starts, and after the destruction of religion worldwide there may be people, perhaps relatives, sons and daughters, and former Jehovah's Witnesses who will remember how they the truth about those coming world events and have a change of heart and side with Jehovah before Armageddon. And that people in the world of the nations will also have an opportunity at that time. Before they thought that the doors would shut at the start of the great tribulation and there would be no more conversion and repentance. But it appears that will not be the case.

This is the thought then having all this in mind that has occurred to me just now as I'm sitting here. And you can see how all these things and many other scriptures from decades of study and prayer and meditation and reading come flooding in.

People in ignorance can be shown mercy. People who see Jehovah's miracles and glory and still do not repent do not have an excuse.

Now what happens immediately after the great tribulation? Yes, Jesus Christ returns to call his anointed Christian congregation, the 144,000, to heavenly spirit life. And at that time supernatural signs and portents will be revealed in the heavens heralding Christ's return. So all humankind alive during that time will have testimony born to them by God himself from heaven of his existence and awesome power, whatever form of supernatural portents those may be:

"Immediately after the tribulation of those days, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Then the sign of the Son of man will appear in heaven, and all the tribes of the earth will beat themselves in grief, and they will see the Son of man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he will send out his angels with a great trumpet sound, and they will gather his chosen ones together from the four winds, from one extremity of the heavens to their other extremity."-Matthew 24:29-31.

At this point in history all false religion will have been done away with by the ruling powers at that time giving their authority to the United Nations.

Now all humankind will see the signs of Jesus' return in kingdom glory. And then what will happen? This is what came to me. It appears that Jehovah will commission his witnesses to proclaim 7 messages or proclamations of imminent destruction on wicked human society. These messages will be issued one after another in quick succession attacking all points of wicked human society and condemning the wicked world we now live in to destruction at Armageddon. As all false religion has now been done away with, only true worship of Jehovah God will be left remaining. The rest of humankind will wallow in anguish in atheism and give their adoration to the State and Satan the Devil.

These seven denunciations of imminent doom on human society will be directed by Jehovah God and be proclaimed by his faithful Witnesses alive at that time, who do not receive the mark of the wild beast. Anyone who gets involved in the politics and wars of the world receives the mark of the beast. But these faithful servants of Jehovah remain no part of the world, they do not involve themselves in her political affairs nor fight in her wars.

These seven lightning flashes of judgement correspond with the seven trumpet blasts that herald the destruction on the masses of wicked human society at that time (Revelation 8-9).

So all humankind alive at that time will receive the testimony of God himself by means of the revelation of Jesus Christ in his kingdom glory in haven with supernatural signs and portents. Then Jehovah's Witnesses will proclaim seven judgement messages on humanity for their evil and everyone will know that their destruction is imminent. No one will be able to say, "you can't prove God to me" because they will see God in heaven. No one will need to prove God's existence. He will do so in such an extraordinary fashion that he says:

"I will bring my judgment against him with pestilence and bloodshed; and I will rain down a torrential downpour and hailstones and fire and sulfur on him and on his troops and on the many peoples with him. And I will certainly magnify myself and sanctify myself and make myself known before the eyes of many nations; and they will have to know that I am Jehovah.’"-Ezekiel 38:22-23.

What about the masses of wicked human society? Will they repent of their sins at the undeniable supernatural signs and portents and the proclamations of imminent destruction? Prophecy says:

"But the rest of the people who were not killed by these plagues did not repent of the works of their hands; they did not stop worshipping the demons and the idols of gold and silver and copper and stone and wood, which can neither see nor hear nor walk. And they did not repent of their murders nor of their spiritistic practices nor of their sexual immorality nor of their thefts."-Revelation 9:20-21.

The prophecy indicates that some people will repent at that time. But it appears that the majority of all human society will NOT repent of their wicked works, their spiritstic practices, their murders, their sexual immorality, their thefts.

When these people hear the kingdom proclamations they will blaspheme the God of the heavens, and they will become faint out of fear because of the things that will be unfolding at that time. They will be like the wicked generations before that had the supernatural signs and manifestations of God's existence and did NOT put faith in him so that they would repent of their wicked works:

“Also, there will be signs in the sun and moon and stars, and on the earth anguish of nations not knowing the way out because of the roaring of the sea and its agitation. People will become faint out of fear and expectation of the things coming upon the inhabited earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. And then they will see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory."-Luke 21:25-27.

At that time the prophecy says that everyone the great and the small, the kings of the earth, high officials, military commanders, the rich, the strong, every slave, and every free person will try and hide themselves from before the glory of the Lord:

"Then the kings of the earth, the high officials, the military commanders, the rich, the strong, every slave, and every free person hid in the caves and among the rocks of the mountains. And they keep saying to the mountains and to the rocks: “Fall over us and hide us from the face of the One seated on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb, because the great day of their wrath has come, and who is able to stand?”-Revelation 6:15-17.

So at the revelation of Jesus Christ in heaven with his holy angels, people will still have time to repent. And Jehovah God will even, after revealing his undeniable existence in an extraordinary way before the eyes of everyone living at that time, will still allow people the time to repent. Some WILL repent. Some will listen to the bold proclamations that Jehovah's servants will be publishing in all the earth in all the nations and island groups in all the languages of the people. Some will repent at that late hour and be saved. But the majority will NOT repent. And instead they will blaspheme God Almighty and wage war against Jehovah's servants.

At that time no one will be able to deny God's existence. And on that day there will be no atheist.

No Bible thumping is being done. That derogatory term comes from the idea of extreme fundamentalist religious leaders standing on their pulpit thumping their Bible and shouting at the people.

I have never done such a thing, nor would I ever dare to think to do such a thing. What I wrote out was done in a rational logical reasoning of prophecy and how it will soon unfold, and put it in the prophecy forum for that reason. These are wonderful things that we can look forward to. If we were present I would be calmly relating these things to you with sincerity and earnestness, with love and calmness. No Bible thumping and yelling.

Thank you. And I understand where you're coming from and respect you, actually very much SchrodingersRat. I've come to appreciate your faith. And commend you for it. And your zeal. This was a brain storm and I was writing it out. I am not saying that this is for a fact what the 7 trumpet blasts will be. But it is an idea that occurred to me. Along the line of the Israelites walking around the walls of Jericho. They did so one time a day for six days and then seven times on the seventh and then shouted out loud and the walls fell flat.

If you don't like it, why don't you just scroll on to something else. The very fact that it triggers you so is evidence that you know down in your innermost being that God is just and that judgment is coming, and you simply cannot handle it!

Are you just as peeved when non-believers go into every religious thread and mock them? That's also disrespectful. But that kind of disrespect doesn't appear to be against the rules here.

You are what I would call spiritually retarded .. at some point in time, you must have suffered brain damage or perhaps ignored your inner voice. Any part of our body will atrophy if we don't use it.

If you ever want to really enjoy life again, you would be well advised to take up a spiritual path of meditation and prayer.

These activities will reignite the right hemisphere of your brain and you can recover completely. You have lost your connection with our creator and you must actively seek to remedy your ignorance of the true nature of our reality, to restore balance in your life.

Talk to God with reverence and sincerity and watch your life change almost instantly.

I know this is about "The Troubles," but I have always found this to be the best song for all the righteous proselytizing. Who should kneel to what and why. Especially with people so close to each-other to be so ridiculous over the correct method to do things.

And only holier than thou 'spirit' makes one demand the others lick their boot heels. In my mind, if you try to do good in life and go with the positive/beneficial aspects of the unconscious, you don't need to repent to anything, and will suffer less bad luck.

If you go with the negative/destructive consciousness queues, your worries should be more for this life anyway.

I see repentance is about acknowledging our mistakes, we all make them. Falling over learning to walk is a common one we all go through. Some pain is involved as feed back mechanism help tune our neural response.

For those that fail to admit there mistakes, evil will destroy the wicked.

As for where some like Michael Aquino are out in the astral plan these days, I don't want to know.

I found this thread to be thought provoking and not preachy at all. I didn't hear any thing like,

"You slimy sinners must repent or God is gonna torture you with plagues and festering wounds before you die and he sends your wicked soul to hell for eternity to burn."

Or like this . . .

"It's hell forever unless you repent and go to church. Oh, and don't forget to tithe, God likes your sacrifice and might bless you, but you could still go to hell unless you prostrate yourself before the Almighty."

It's hard to keep up with all the constantly changing religious interpretations and moving goal posts.

In a thread I authored just a couple of days ago I talked about The Great Mosaic of God. There we see how Jehovah has gradually revealed his purposes for mankind. As our understanding of truth progresses we cannot remain stagnant in the past with things that have been done away with, for example the Law to Moses. Or stick to man-made traditions and dogma. As God's grand Mosaic continues to be revealed his followers follow his leanings and the direction of the holy spirit.

But from the very beginning, that is when the Israelites entered into the covenant relationship with Jehovah they broke that covenant, and God at that time, from the very start had decided he was going to do away with them as his chosen people. You can read about that in this thread: I Will Incite Them to Jealousy with what is not a People.

Now BEFORE they entered into that covenant relationship at the holy mountain when Jehovah appeared to them from the midst of the clouds and the lightnings and the thunders he made this statement to Moses:

"Now if you will strictly obey my voice and keep my covenant, you will certainly become my special property out of all peoples, for the whole earth belongs to me. You will become to me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.’ These are the words that you are to say to the Israelites.”-Exodus 19:5-6.

Well, they did not keep the covenant. In fact they broke it as soon as they made it. And Jehovah decided to give the covenant for a priesthood to people of the nations. That is what the thread I linked to above talks about, how Jehovah would incite his covenant people, the natural nation of Israel, to jealousy with what is not a people, with a foolish nation.

The covenant of a priesthood was given to the anointed Christian congregation, the 144,000 chosen and called to rule in heaven with Jesus Christ. Those who make up that elect group of people include people of all the nations called on by Jehovah's name. This is the spiritual Israel, the "foolish nation" that Jehovah foretold.

Now the apostle Peter writing to the Christian congregation, not just the Jews who had converted to Christianity and been anointed with holy spirit, but the gentiles, people of the nations as well, that had been drawn into the New Covenant, and the Covenant for a priesthood, to them he moved by holy spirit shows that God's promise of the nation of a priesthood was bestowed upon them:

"But you are “a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for special possession, that you should declare abroad the excellencies” of the One who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. For you were once not a people, but now you are God’s people; once you had not been shown mercy, but now you have received mercy."-1 Peter 2:9-10.

And to emphasize this fact, after telling the Christian congregation that they are the holy nation, the royal priesthood, he shows that how we were once not a people, but have been shown mercy and now are God's people.

That they are Jehovah's Witnesses there is no doubt. For prophecy states:

"So that the men who remain may earnestly seek Jehovah, together with people of all the nations, people who are called by my name, says Jehovah, who is doing these things, known from of old.’"-Acts 15:17-18.

Thus this prophecy has fulfillment in Jehovah's Witnesses just as he stated:

“You are my witnesses,” declares Jehovah,
“Yes, my servant whom I have chosen,
So that you may know and have faith in me
And understand that I am the same One.
Before me no God was formed,
And after me there has been none.
11 I—I am Jehovah, and besides me there is no savior.”
12 “I am the One who declared and saved and made known
When there was no foreign god among you.
So you are my witnesses,” declares Jehovah, “and I am God."
-Isaiah 43:10-12.

This holy nation, Jehovah's 144,000, people bought out of all the people and tribes and nations and tongues, the anointed Christian congregation (this is the true Church of god, the Church is the elect chosen, it is NOT a building). They will reign with Christ in his kingdom over the earth as kings and PRIESTS for the 1,000 years:

"And they came to life and ruled as kings with the Christ for 1,000 years. (The rest of the dead did not come to life until the 1,000 years were ended.) This is the first resurrection. Happy and holy is anyone having part in the first resurrection; over these the second death has no authority, but they will be priests of God and of the Christ, and they will rule as kings with him for the 1,000 years."-Revelation 20:4-6.

That they are Jehovah's Witnesses there is no doubt.

I have explored many different branches of religion since October 7, 1967 by spending months in their churches, looking for 'The Way', and the one thing that stood out is how every single one twists the scriptures to 'prove' they are the only one that holds the key to the hereafter; to God's way and truth.....where self-dilusion is called 'faith'.

I 100% do not believe JW's are the only ones who are God's chosen people who will comprise the 144,000, and the more research I do the firmer I am in my conviction.

What do you think repentance is?

Instances of spontaneous faith and redemption, though rare, have indeed occurred in the past.

Historical examples suggest that those who were willing to risk their lives for their newfound faith were key. It appears that one can indeed turn to God at the last minute, but it requires demonstrating genuine faith, essentially risking one's life for Him, which He accepts as the payment for spontaneous faith.

For instance:

1) Rahab the prostitute from Jericho would have been executed for treason by the city's soldiers due to her actions in hiding the Israelite spies. Her family, who heeded her advice and stayed in the room with the red cord hanging from the window, also faced the same fate. They were the sole survivors of the city's destruction and collapse, having shown faith at a pivotal moment, which led to their salvation.

2) Egyptians who departed with the Israelites after the tenth and final plague, having witnessed nine plagues, began to recognize the power of the Hebrew God. Some may have placed lamb's blood on their doorposts to avoid the tenth plague, acting out of sheer terror or genuine faith. When the angel of death passed over them, sparing their firstborns while their neighbors' perished, they decided to leave, declaring the land cursed. Their Egyptian neighbors likely envied them. By taking this significant risk and leap of faith, they were not yet safe; they faced potential death at the Red Sea alongside the Israelites. Pharaoh would have sought vengeance, but as history shows, they were spared.

While such transformations can occur, they have historically been infrequent and are likely to remain so in the future. Humans tend to be obstinate beings; it takes considerable humility and unwavering faith, without any cognitive dissonance, to undergo such a life-altering change doing a 180 in perspectives at that last minute.

So yes it will happen, but they will be rare, but the fact that there will be any at all is a very good thing, some Christians get mad when they find out some can act in the last minute and attain salvation, but I don't, the more that take God's side the better, even if it is on threat of basically a potential death conversion. Like the two examples I gave, they will most likely have to do something, saying I believe "NOW" will not be enough.
