Yep. Being a career white collar criminal is definitely a stressful job. You have to keep track of which lies you told to whom. How to keep your fraudulent dealings with the government from being discovered. Always worried about what happens if someone you thought you bought off decides to grow a conscience and ignores the non disclosure agreement you had them sign. What happens if someone records a conversation where you are incriminating yourself, and so on. It's a young man's profession. Once you get to a certain age, you can't keep up with the pace of it any more.

When you're young, a life of crime can look pretty attractive, especially if you're good at it, as Trump was. To begin with, this is nothing like the frozen Mitchicle. He is fully aware of the pause. At first, I thought he was unhappy with the words on the teleprompter and was refusing to say them. Then I looked closer and what I saw was a man trying not to cry.

President Trump is speaking about a nation in decline, and how it was/is the "greatest nation in the history of the world." After he finishes the sentence, he pauses, and that's when the emotions want to come out. He bottles up those emotions, refusing to cry; because sometimes, when you open those gates, a flood occurs. So, he waits. His nose and cheeks flush; he shakes his head; he plays with the inside of his mouth. Eventually, he can say the next sentence without breaking. If you listen closely, he has a slightly clogged nasal passage from the watery eye drainage. 

I think it is fair to say that the man has a lot on his shoulders. Ever tried to hold back tears? I see a man who is doing his best to stay strong, or at least give the appearance of strength, for those who support him.

They probably were saying something interesting in his ear bud. Maybe someone forgot to turn off the microphone who was guiding him and he was listening to the conversation. Or maybe one of his lawyers was telling him something really important about a case.

It does not sound like what Biden does or what happened to Mitch. Maybe someone was giving him a message to read on the teleprompter too, one he was supposed to read but not repeat. Maybe it had something to do with his bodyguards mentioning suspicious activity and what was going on.

We cannot know what it was that made him stop talking for half a minute. Could be anything...could also be a little seizure from one of those ministrokes people get almost every day. I have seen this kind of stuff in people giving speeches quite a few times, sometimes they are deciding how to present something after seeing the confused faces in the crowd.

I wouldn't read too much into this pause, Elon Musk does this quite often as he organizes his mind to answer things, lots of people do at conferences too. Biden should actually do more pauses, he doesn't get his thoughts together enough, he then messes things up quite often...Biden's cognitive decline or dementia is evident.
