He seems to have paid the price of non conformity though.

He said other things too. Ukraine is not an independent country? Who would claim such thing?! It's like claiming Egypt is a puppet state.

Yes, I saw that this morning that he has pulled through. Thank you for posting the update.
However, I was very confused yesterday when they showed footage etc of the assailant and he looked like a middle aged man, yet one of our newsagencies in UK were saying he was 71!!!!

This here. Somehow i only saw one picture of him, of his back to be exactly, sitting on the floor in handcuffs. But my first thought was: This guy is never over 70 years old. Nothing about his outward appearance suggests to anyone that the guy is older than 50. He still seems to have his full head of hair and it's not even gray as far as i remember. His clotihng style, his body, nothings hints to an old man.

Will have a look later, have some real life stuff to do but later i will check if i can find an new pics, news or whatever here since, as a german, i am bit closer to Switzerland and can read all the stuff in german language.

The perpetrator is reportedly a former security guard who has authored collections of poetry.

I would guess as a security guard, he received training on the use of firearms.

What is known about the Fico assassin

"I don't agree with government policy," says the assassin after his attack on Slovakian Prime Minister Robert Fico. The 71-year-old is said to be the founder of a literary club and, according to his son, legally owns a gun.

According to Slovakian media reports, the assassin of Slovakian Prime Minister Robert Fico is 71-year-old Juraj Cintula. Interior Minister Sutaj Estok confirmed reports that the shooter was a 71-year-old writer from the center of Slovakia.

Images on Slovakian television showed the assassin - a man in jeans - being handcuffed to the ground. Slovakian President Zuzana Caputova confirmed that the man had been arrested.

The TV news channel TA3 and other media received a video recording from the police station. In it, the dazed-looking man says: "I don't agree with the government's policy." In a slurred voice, he cited the government's planned media reform, which includes the dissolution of public broadcasting, as an example. Thousands of people have been demonstrating against the reform for weeks. According to media reports, the perpetrator's wife was also questioned by the police.

According to media reports, the man is said to come from the town of Levice, around 150 kilometers east of Bratislava, and is the founder of a literary club. According to reports, he is also a member of the official Slovakian Writers' Association, which the association later confirmed on Facebook. It announced that it would terminate the membership of "this despicable person" if the allegations were substantiated.

According to AFP research, the man published several political statements in online networks. Eight years ago, he said in one of them that the world was "full of violence and weapons" and that people seemed to be "going crazy". The man's son told aktuality.sk that his father legally owned a gun. He had "absolutely no idea what my father was up to and why this happened". When asked whether his father felt hatred for Fico, he replied: "Let me put it this way - he didn't vote for him." He had never spoken of wanting to attack or kill a politician. Nor had he received psychiatric treatment: "He is rather impulsive," said his son.

A report by the renowned Hungarian investigative journalist Szablocs Panyi has also led to speculation about the background to the attack. He shared older photos of the assassin, which are said to prove a connection to a pro-Russian Slovakian paramilitary organization, the "Slovakian Brothers". The pictures from 2016 are considered authentic.

We have to take all that with a grain of salt because that is what the MSM is telling us, this is what the MSM or their puppet masters want to make us believe. It´s the official story. I like it how they try to spin something russian (aka bad) in their stories. I bet some of the politicians who publicly expressed their wishes for recovery, are in reality annoyed that the attack against the "against the stream swimmer" did not quite succeed as planned.

Because Fico has spoken out against arms deliveries to Ukraine, is considered a "friend of Russia", is against Ukraine's entry into the EU, is a strong critic of von der Leyen, wants to come to terms with corona injustice, is very critical of "vaccination" and recently announced that he does not want to sign the WHO pandemic treaties.

And why should a "friend of Russia", a "Putinlover" in newspeak, be executed by a pro-russian slovakian paramilitary organization? Why did many european politicians call him, until he was attacked, a right-winger and now suddenly they can´t tell you often enough that he is a left-wing populist? I am pretty sure all that is because if you have entangled yourself in a web of lies and constantly want/need to manipulate the opinion of large sections of the population, it is very difficult to get out of it again.

Edit: The perpetrator is said to be a member of a left-liberal party.

I also noticed the inside of his right arm looked rreally weird..... my first thought was 'track marks'..... but it didn't quite look like that, but defo wird.

I remember reading a spy novel years ago, which described what a bullet to the gut does. Without immediate medical help it is a very slow painful death. It was quite graphic in the description explaining how the stomack acids start reacting etc. Quite griesome.
So, when I read Fico had been shot in the stomach, rather than the usual torso/head shot, I immediately thought the gunman would have known this too perhaps and he deliberately aimed for his gut.

He's 71!!?? No way!
Here's a link with a photo of him on the ground with his hands in zip ties, back to the camera. I saw footage which showed his face when the news broke.
But seriously, I know there are some very fit 71 year olds out there, but does this photo, even the back view, look like it's a 71 year old???

PS, here's another photo with him facing the camera, but looking downwards. When I saw this originally, it was film footage and he looked in the direction of the camera. Scroll down and there is the film footage, he has a white goatee beard. And scrolling on down, he is stood up with blood coming from his forhead.
