The California Democrat discussed the former president on MSNBC’s "The Sunday Show with Jonathan Capehart" and warned that we "better be careful" about what he could do. She also suggested that Biden and the Justice Department get involved in preemptively stopping right-wing violence.

"I’ll tell you what I’m going to do. I’m going to ask the Justice Department, and I am going to ask the president to tell us what they are going to do to protect this country against violence if [Biden] loses," she remarked.

Maxine is scared. She is afraid the cheat will be too obvioius and folks won't just accept it this time. She is convinced "they" are "training in the hills somewhere". And she might be right. But any right wing group that assemples will be tracked, categorized, and infiltrated with FBI informants so they can direct the attacks then stop them.

I doubt most are ignorant enough to share with others if they are training for some event. But I bet some are. And I'd bet that if some obvious garbage happens with the election in 2024, Maxine and others wont need to worry about picking up their drycleaning next week. You can feel the distrust in the air, like the smell of death. For the sake of the nation, I sure hope this election is fair. And no that doesn't mean Trump has to win, it just means that no "first time in the history of man" things need to happen near the electioin, if it does, then even the short bus riders will be able to see it. And we may find out what those 320million weapons in the US are for. I hope not.

Getting the justice department! Getting the President! these are words of a dictator against any opposition. I think I am in the centre politically, though I might be called socialist. So no political party/faction, left, right, whatever, should be demonised or outlawed/criminalised no matter what their actions or thought. Criminal behaviour, yes, but not political dogma. In a democracy the people decide and if the majority want a right wing/left wing, fascist, communist government so be it.

And please, please let me put to rest the trite statement people keep coming out with "but the USA is not a democracy". According to the world America IS a democratic republic. End of. people have a national vote for their candidates for government, THAT is democracy. Just because they get into power and not do what's best for the country does not make it undemocratic.

The United States is a Constitutional Republic that chooses it's Representatives Democratically. I don't care what the rest of the world 'Thinks' The United States is. The United States does NOT have a National Election, it has 50 State Elections on the same day. Each State controls it's own election. Which is why The United States uses the Electoral College. The National Popular Vote is a meaningless statistic!!

Unlike the progressives who seem to not have jobs or any responsibilities in life to where they can do what they do. We on the right have careers, families, and many responsibilities that put us in the position where we can pay our bills and do not need to rely on the Government to take care of us.

In other words, we do not have time to do the same BS as the left does. It would need to get rather bad for us to give up what we spent a lifetime creating. It could happen, but Biden for another 4 years isn't that trigger point.

Oh my. Listen very carefully. Every democratic country in the world (including America) votes for their county/area representative AND every area controls it's own election. Now for you, because all these elections take place on the same day that is why IT IS CALLED A NATIONAL ELECTION.
For your information the Electoral College has nothing to do with this process, they have one task only and that is voting for the Presidency and Vice Presidency. But even that the Electoral College is made up of state appointed electors who they are democratically chosen by their state legislature Who are themselves elected. Americans please feel free to put me right on your selection processes.

your both right, the U.S. is best characterized as a Democratic Republic. and yes each state runs their own elections, for both the house and senate and the presidency. but U.S. law dictates that they do it on the same day other than mail in votes which there is a set time for them to be sent in and counted. in other words it a national election.

in a direct democracy, or a pure democracy, each and every person would vote for each and every bill passed, or fails, not some greedy money grubbing jackleg who maybe or may not be in it for the country as a whole. who could vote for something that could pass that helps him above everybody else,and his state and passes it, but hurts others in other states. there have been several of them through the years, and there are several there now.

that's one of the main reason i see a need for term limits, if it's good enough for the president then it's good enough for the house and senate, for that matter even the supreme court.

i also a need for each and every bill that comes up for a vote for should be sent to the states by their representatives and senators and voted for by the people of that state then the representatives and senators vote the people will and not their own.

some say the real power is in the bureaucrats, they are the ones who interrupt and enforce laws, and it maybe years before the way they do it is even questioned enough before being challenged. those head bureaucrats and their deputies jobs should be evaluated at least once a year, by people picked from each and every state form every party in office to see if they are doing their job correctly, and not with a party interest in mind. if found to be bias or doing a bad job time for them to hit the bricks.
