Mysterious Spiral 'UFO' Sightings Reported Across US, Europe

Social media users have reported mysterious spiral UFO sightings across the United States and Europe this week, with one witness saying they saw an object in the night sky that was "omitting some sort of haze."

Sightings were reported in Ukraine and Finland, as well as in cities in Arizona and California.

Doesn’t look like a comet, but a possibility.

Definitely not rocket launch.

A lot of people around the world saw it and recorded whatever it was.

Because rocket stages with enough velocity will orbit the Earth. The plane of the orbit remains fixed in inertial space, while the Earth rotates under it. Virtually all of the SpaceX launches go into Earth orbit, at least initially. The spiral pattern occurs because the Falcon 9 upper stage vents its unused fuel before it plunges back into the atmosphere. The venting of the fuel causes the upper stage to spin up like a pinwheel.

It was the second stage deorbit burn after satellite insertion. First stage separation happens over California, with the boosters deorbiting to landing (I have shots that include the first stage deorbit burn). The second stage goes into orbit, and releases the satellites. Once they’re released, the second stage deorbits and burns up in the atmosphere. It isn’t always visible over Europe, but it is on some launches.

Seen a lot of launches out of Florida.

They look totally different from these videos.

Back in November a similar light show in the night sky had people scratching their heads from France to Portugal. Turned out to be a test of French M51.3 SLBM fired from Biscarrosse near Bordeaux.

What does "4th stage reality" mean when they say "it almost looks like that missing Malaysian flight footage?"


I obvuously i know about the missing Malaysian but what flight footage are they talking about? Maybe I have forgotten but I don't remember any flight footage that has to do with Missing Malaysia?

Those are all stage separation videos. The second stage fuel dump and deorbit burn doesn’t look anything like that.

Lived in Florida Cape Canaveral many years of my life off and on; used to the early stages of the launch like the videos I posted.

The recent Starlink launches out of Vandenberg have been on a different trajectory, which has been good for me. I’ve got some great shots of stage separations from a couple of them.

Anyone knows what is it after all?

Different times. It launched from California and went over Arizona. Finland and Ukraine saw the second stage fuel dump and deorbit burn a few hours after launch, after satellite deployment.

I was mistaken. This was the Maxars 1 mission. It carried two Maxars Worldview Legion satellites. Maxars plans to launch 6 total.

You would think most on ufo Twitter would recognize space X launches by now.
I had a picture of the Space X satellites - how they would appear from earth, and the spiral effect from their rocket launches, posted smack dab on the MUFON website.
You had to look at both images before you could submit a report and only if you selected No, these do not look like my sighting, then you would be able to Fill out a report.

I still got 7-10 space X related sighting reports daily
