al-Shifa Hospital ... Hamas HQ that hostages were held in.
He shouldn't have been supporting terrorism.
It's his own fault that he got caught and put in jail.
Probably had an underlying health condition.

Two wrongs don't make a right.

Videos are coming out that are apalling of soldiers shoving and spitting on little children. If it wasn't for their uniforms one would guess they're Hamas.

I see pure hatred from both sides and unless that changes these wars will continue until the end of time.

It seems like such a waste of life when one group ( or country) feels they must dominate another.

I don't think humanity will ever get along and coexist peacefully.

Dr. Adnan Al-Bursh, 50, a famed Palestinian surgeon in Gaza, died in Israeli prison on May 2.

Palestinian doctor ‘loved life’

“This is the last thing we expected, and it’s difficult for the human soul to bear this news,” he said. “Dr. Adnan loved life, was cheerful, and was loved by everyone.”

The youngest of nine siblings, Dr. Al-Bursh wasn’t just a doctor, he was also a sports adviser for the Palestinian national soccer team, his nephew said.

He told CNN his uncle worked nonstop during the height of the war in Gaza, only taking an hour in the morning to jog and play sports by the beach.

During the first Israeli incursion into Al-Shifa hospital, Mohammad told CNN Israeli soldiers told the medical staff, including Dr. Al-Bursh that they could either leave the hospital and go south, or face arrest.

He followed orders and went south temporarily, eventually returning to the north of Gaza when he felt the roads were safe, Mohammad said. Dr. Al-Bursh ended up moving from one hospital in Gaza to another, each always falling victim to Israeli incursions.

According to Mohammad, Dr. Al-Bursh had the option to flee and take refuge in shelters in Jabalya but was determined to keep working. Until he was detained by Israeli soldiers on December 14 last year.

The IDF has previously said it treats all detainees in accordance with international law.

An unpublished report compiled by the United Nations which CNN has obtained describes beatings, sleep deprivation, sexual abuse and threats of sexual violence against both men and women detained by the Israeli military.

This Angel spent the last few months working non-stop doing what he loved. SAVE HUMAN LIVES. He gave his own life to save others. People like him give encouragement to others who are losing faith in humanity because of what Our eyes see. I just wish that God saves a very special place for this Angel. He is totally heartbreaking.

And you know that because you were in Gaza watching him, right? Sure. The guy worked at the hospital that was the Head Quarters for Hamas. The hospital that harbored and supported the terrorists in mass numbers. The hospital that held many of the hostages in captivity.

Israel wouldn't have been holding him if he was 'an angel'. He obviously had information and was involved in what the terrorists were doing or at the very least knew what the terrorists were doing.

Have you seen the footage/pics of Israeli soldiers prancing around in lingerie of dead Palestinian women? Evidently, they take "trophies" from their kill. We all know terrorists rape and torture their victims but people fail to mention it happens on both sides. Some will probably say the Palestinian women had it coming.

When will people realize that this problem isn't going away?

Two religions that HATE each other is all it is.

And it's been going on for centuries. And it seems it will continue.

War is hell. Always has been, always will be. THAT'S WHY WE TRY TO AVOID IT AT ALL COSTS.

So much in agreement with you.

Any mistreatment of people on both sides is appalling.

Likely he was killed by his captors but we can't be 100% sure.

Appalling comment to start with.

You don't know what happened but when someone died in captivity it's very likely they died because of mistreatment and not because of natural causes.

Everything else you said it's pure speculation and attempting to dismiss the fact he died while in captivity.

So this Dr is 1 of 18 who has died in the custody of Israel.

How many Israelis have died in Hamas' custody?

We don't have an accurate count, Hamas only gives the exaggerated tens of thousands of women and Children killed.

And to think, none of this would have happened if Hamas had not violated the ceasefire in effect before Oct 7.
