Necro Threads

Curious as to how two threads by former owners of ATS suddenly popped up as "recent threads". The last comments in those (closed) threads were over a decade ago, in one case, some 15 years ago.

We have been assured that the site no longer has admin and that the database cannot be (properly) accessed. Okay, I believe that is the case.

But when I see things like these two necro threads suddenly appearing for no obvious reason ...

it sure looks like somebody is still exercising control over the site's behavior.

Any ideas ? Are certain threads just set to periodically re-run forever ?

ETA... My bad, I see them now, weird!

Yeah, I saw those. The moderators can bump old threads without actually posting in them. I've seen it done before. Both threads dealt with people behaving better and that racist hate had to be stopped. So I figured the moderators felt that those things needed to be said.
