Hi all

Tv was boring and a few beers later I remembered a couple of old movies to download.
I'm going back to the movie VHS rental days and being young.

The first one I downloaded was
COOL HAND LUKE.

What a film.
Its to me, one of them films that you can feel the character.
Paul newman, I think plays the character perfect and George Kennedy..BRILLIANT.

When I like a film I want to know more about it.
So I visit IMDB (Internet Movie Database).
I love reading the Trivia section and finding out more about the film.

So
Cool Hand Luke

Luke Jackson is a cool, gutsy prisoner in a Southern chain gang, who, while refusing to buckle under to authority, keeps escaping and being recaptured. The prisoners admire Luke because, as Dragline explains it, "You're an original, that's what you are!" Nevertheless, the camp staff actively works to crush Luke until he finally breaks.

I cant explain the feeling at the end, but It stirred something up in my head,
so I thought old comedy film..

The Dream Team...

Dr. Weitzman works with patients in a sanitarium. Convinced that all that his "group" needs is a some fresh air and some time away from the sanitarium, he persuades the administration to allow him to take them to a ballgame. Unfortunately, he accidentally stumbles across a crime in progress and ends up in hospital. The group is stranded in New York City, forced to cope with a place which is often more bizarre than their sanitarium.

The dream Team made me laugh, I forgot how funny it was
and wen you watch a movie years later, you get the jokes you didnt understand.

Peter Boyle playing Jack McDermont was bloody Hilarious.
I watched Red Heat last week and seeing Peter in that..Was a brilliant actor.

And ate 50 hard boiled eggs...and didn't even puke!

My no2 of all time.

My no1 is Blues Brothers.

I just watched them both back to back on Easter while I was killing time at a hotel waiting for a gig. I laughed so hard my gut hurt when I got to the gig

Oh my goodness. I’ve heard that too many times on JRE. “You can find that in my movie; A funny thing happened on the way to the moon.” Ay… that is a movie I do plan to watch, though. Have you seen Capricorn 1?

Later… ah, someone already mentioned it. The Beast Must Die is a good one from the 70’s.

Blues brothers is so good, so funny. One of my all time favourites.

Great casting, music is breathtaking, the legends in the film is mind blowing.

With members from booker t and the Meg’s in there, Aretha, frank oz.

A movie like this will never be made ever again.

We were only talking about Cool Hand Luke last week at work. Great film and always remember the boiled eggs

This got us into a top 5 films discussion I went with due to how often I have re watched them over time.
1, Zulu
2, Italian Job (The original)
3, Pulp Fiction
4, Reservoir Dogs
5 --- Struggled to round it off as there were so many contenders for me. Army of Darkness was probably what I settled on. Loved the Evil dead series and this was just the right amount of cheese for me.
