To be honest, the first is being hit from both sides.
The left does not like anything going against their narrative, so they label it disinformation. They are writing laws to censor disinformation.
Basically censoring what they don't like.
The right wants to gatekeep things. That book with gay pornography in it? Should not be in the kindergarten library. (And I do agree with this.) They
don't want kids exposed to this nonsense.
Now, they aren't for banning the book...most that I know, anyway...they just want it to be more age appropriate. These books can be in High school
libraries. And as for the elementary school, if a parent wants to let their kid read it, that is up to them, they can sign permissions. Or buy the
book for them. So, it is not being removed in most places, just restricted.
Banning books from the school library is only ok if it is the Bible, I guess.
Funny story, my kid went to grab a Bible in her High School for an English paper. (my kid is not a Christian but, but is open minded.) They had 1...it
was gone, but the 7 copies of the book of Mormon were there. It seems a student checked it out in the fall and hasn't brought it back. Says he can't
find it. The school won't replace it bc of feelz. I bought one to donate, but they wouldn't take it...no new religious books in the schools....
Oh, and the kid who checked it out, is on video ripping it apart and burning it during, what he called, an offering to the devil, so he can be a
servant.
He is not in trouble, bc it is his freedom of expression.
So yeah, both sides are feeding us poison, the only difference is the amount of sugar in the Kool-Aid.
