How about...if you don't want to be told you're a psychopath because you lack emotional intelligence and empathy, then you MYOB when it comes to how other people choose to treat animals. Including giving them "human" emotions. Mkay?

I never realized that the range of emotion between fear and pleasure has been observed only in humans.

Animals feel pain. Animals feel fear. Dogs get happy ... you should see my dog when we come home and he's been home alone ... wagging his tail, running to greet us, wanting to be petted and snuggled etc. Dogs naturally are pack members and get emotionally attached to people who are their 'pack'. Dogs trust and distrust people, places, things. Dogs play with each other and with humans and even cats and other animals and they ENJOY it, bouncing and happy wagging their tails. They also feel bad when punished and hang their tails and sit by themselves in corners and even sigh.

Crickett was a pack Noem family pack member. That's how Crickett felt. And Crickett went to a quarry trusting the Alpha of the pack, but instead was brutally betrayed and attacked by that pack member, simply because that pack member failed to properly train her and because that pack member 'hated' her.

That's cold and cruel. And not something that someone should be bragging about in a book thinking it actually shows that they are presidential material.
