Europe declares war on Russia?

The Parliamentary Assembly of Europe adopted resolution 2540 (2024) of 26 points, which is entirely dedicated to Russia. There are many points, so I will give only the main decisions made. Briefly:

— Navalny was killed on the orders of the Kremlin;
- in Ukraine - democracy;
— Russians did not choose Putin in March 2024;
— Putin is not the president;
— Russian World is a crime;
— we must fight against the Russian Orthodox Church;
“Russia despicably possesses nuclear weapons;
— Russians oppress national minorities within the country;
— Russia includes pro-Western extremists in its lists of extremists;
- We must jointly crush Russia at any cost.

There is no official reaction from the Russian authorities yet, but many politicians and political scientists have already spoken out. They believe that this resolution means an official declaration of war on Russia.

In fact, Russia withdrew from PACE back in 2022 due to the politicization and double standards of the organization, as a result of which Russia was not allowed to attend meetings for many years, but regularly paid its dues, and considerable ones. PACE resolutions are advisory in nature, and obligations are imposed only on the executive bodies of the Council of Europe on internal issues. In addition, elections will take place in June 2024, which, according to forecasts, should be won by the conservative right-wing parties of Europe, which are tired of the dictatorship and authoritarianism of Brussels and being in power leftist globalists, and the Western “agenda”, which is driving Europe into poverty and destroying the economy.

However, the implementation of this resolution may enter the practical stage at any time. Therefore, political scientists argue only about how many days it will take Russian troops to occupy European capitals, if they still exist by that time.

Europeans must do their best to stop the war between brothers and sisters in Russia and Ukraine and don't waste their time in meaningless resolutions.

They may pretend but I think they have realised the West has lost this war against Russia. In real terms there is no winner as too many people on both sides have been killed and the West is trying to use this as a proxy war against Russia with complete disregard of human lives on both sides.

Zelensky is the useful idiot who prefers to sacrifice more and more of his people who are unwilling to fight anymore rather than negotiate a peace plan with Russia. The guy has been asking for more money and more weapons after his country has been defeated and a large part of it has been permanently occupied and under Russian control. Talking about the wrong stuff.

I live in Europe, and I don't know anybody who support war against Russia.

We want to stop the war - we want peace and intelligent debates.

War won't solve anything, it will only create more war and hate and pain and suffering.

This is about the furthest thing from a declaration of war I've ever seen. Your title is fake news.

It's a bunch of empty suits with no real authority trying to look tough by calling for more sanctions, and they don't even have the spine to go balls to the wall on sanctions.

It has no powers.
Nobody has declared war on Russia.
As far as I know no-one wants to declare war on Russia.

Putin murders people. Invades sovereign countries. Was only supposed to be "President" for twelve years. What part of the fact that Europe doesn't care for a "democracy", run by a dictator, who invades Countries not too far from where they are, don't you get?

Sorry, but Europe has every right to call a spade a spade. And to make it clear what their positions are.

Not really, that part is just straight up not true. They're not willing to pay "any cost" to destroy Russia. If they were, they'd be calling for more than just sanctions and sending aid.

Europe has already declared their shift to a "War Economy" focused on weapon manufacturing and war conscription has already begun seeing a re-introduction in North Europe.

It's a big bad cop/good cop routine on a global scale to get rid of all those pesky protesters that Europe have been "plagued with" since 2019 and send tose folks on a battlefield, any battlefield would do but Putin offered a really good one.

There are people who do, but none of our leaders have the spine for it.

I'm not suggesting that we should either.

But even if Russia wasn't a nuclear power (which is their ongoing excuse) most of them wouldn't have the spine to get the West involved militarily.

Like I keep saying, our leaders don't even have the courage to go full throttle on sanctions because they're so scared of escalation. The idea that they'd go to war with even a non-nuclear Russia is laughable.

And rightly so as Russia have threatened to Nuke Europe and have violated Polish air space on several occasions , it's folly not to prepare for the worst case scenario.

I normally admire your posts but this time I feel you've missed a huge chunk of the historical background behind the situation.

Besides, I don't root "pro Europe" or "Pro Russia". I think this is a rigged situation especially designed to get rid of a certain "troublesome" demographic in Europe and North America.
