Hmm I wonder why the SCOTUS might start to hit the doj? It's not like the DOJ ignored threats to some of them or anything. SCOTUS knows full well how
partisan the doj has become! This is a self-inflicted wound, if the doj was not being partisan they would of had nothing to worry about! Wouldn't it
be juicier if some of the left leaning judges agreed and sided with the conservatives on this? It's happened more than once in recent
memory.

While the more Conservative justices indicated they may want to narrow the law, they also seemed hesitant in narrowing it so much as to affect the J6
cases.
I wouldn't say SCOTUS is endorsing or condoning the protestors so much as disagreeing with how severely they should be punished and the ethical
ramifications of future prosecutions that center on obstruction. They want to nail down a more precise and intellectual summary of the offense to
accurately punish the accused, and by they I mean the lawyer, to which the court is stymied how to catalogue the matter. But of course
oversimplification is a key ingredient in rage bait.

The biggest question is what will happen to all who were involved in keeping these people locked away for so long? When inmates are locked away
wrongly like this, they get compensated. I think all those locked up right now for January 6th peaceful protest should be compensated directly from
the pockets of those politicians and judges involved in locking them up.
