Mayo Clinic is stating information.

Information they were given. Unless the Mayo clinic is in the business of testing drugs. While anyone can study people who take the drugs, after the drug was given the green light by the FDA. The initial glowing review is done by the pharmaceutical company. The same people who hid the fact opioids were addictive. The same people who officially killed 250,000 people, for the almighty dollar, I believe that number is way higher, as they probably weren't counting opioid deaths 25 years ago.

That's same people who brought you a vaccine, that doesn't vaccinate. In record breaking time. Anyone doubting what the pharmaceutical companies will do for the almighty dollar, should take a look at the fines these companies have paid on the last 2 decades. And no one ever goes to jail, so they don't have any fear of repercussions for any laws they break, or people they kill and or maim.

In your research did you “investigate” all sides?

Or just the negative that appealed to you?

Both of your links are verklempt.

I get a "404 - Page not found error".

Just an FYI.

That is strange, I have read half a dozen articles about that in the last couple of weeks. I wonder why copy and paste did not work with those links. I will have to retry again.

I'll try this link. nypost.com...

Here is one article I hope works. There are many articles addressing this issue out there, I actually looked at a research article about it and it is now in levels in people that can effect fertility if you eat a lot of food treated with it. Kids like some of those cereals and eat them often. This is a times article, but you can research the chemical name listed in the article to find the regular research done on it. nypost.com... I never trust info from a news agency completely, I always check the evidence and it does sound like this is relative to fertility issues.

We live in a chemical world.

Deep-sea trenches contain chemicals and radioactivity: projects.research-and-innovation.ec.europa.eu...#:~:text=The%20ones%20i n%20the%20bottom,polybrominated%20diphenyl%20ether%20(PBDEs).

—————

We have choice of Quality of Life for ourselves (within an inescapable chemical world).

A transgender person should have the right to choose what is their quality of life including any drug that assists that.

Each case is individual and treatment needs to be by professionals in the field.

What is really needed is more qualified specialists.

Not your decision.

I have an ADHD child who was on Ritalin. Between me and her doctor — not you.

I have an Autistic grandson on meds. Between me and his doctor/psychiatrist — not you.

Are they putting chemicals in their body? YES — they are.

Are they better off with or without these chemicals in their body?

QUALITY OF LIFE.

You compare two conditions/disorders with transgenderism. Do you think at the end of the day transgenderism (call it what you want) is a condition/disorder and it could be treated sometimes with drugs.

I'm stating QUALITY OF LIFE.

You are your brain. Your brain tells you who you are -- not your physical wrapping.

ADHD & Autism are both mental disorders (mental simply means brain). NOT mental illness.

Illness would indicate you are incapable of taking care of yourself and living a normal life.

Transgenderism is the same. Brain wiring is different than "normal" -- but it is NOT an illness.

More support and specialists are needed.

I do support that anyone -- any age -- go through a full psychological/medical specialized program.

My son was diagnosed as being "on the spectrum" when he was 3 years old. Mild, but on the spectrum.

With early intervention and a lot of love & patience he is now a fully functional adult living on his own. He has 2 jobs - one as a full time IT support person for a hospital, the other as a chef on the weekends. He loves to cook and is good at it.

He's the kindest, most loving person I have ever met.

Medication was never discussed. But I can see where it might be in some cases.

His best friend has ADHD (among other things) and they're as thick as thieves. When they were kids, his friend - Zach - would come over and be bouncing off the walls, but he was a good kid. Just way too much energy. I used to joke with my wife that I wanted to give Zach a stiff cocktail every time he came over.

Working on it. My grandson who I raise (dad died - mother works long hours) - was diagnosed at age 2.

He is high functioning -- extremely intelligent. He's been on and off meds to help him focus. His decision -- he wants the meds.

I am trying to guide him to be successful with his talents. He's 16.

That is not at all what those words mean.

oxford defines illness as "a disease or period of sickness affecting the body or mind."
Medical terminology generally uses illness to mean a disease with a known cause.

oxford defines disorder as "An illness that disrupts normal physical or mental functions."
WHO says mental disorder is characterized by a clinically significant disturbance in an individual’s cognition, emotional regulation, or behaviour.

Transgenderism is literally a faulty perception, making it an issue in the mind. You claim it is due to a malformation of brain wiring, meaning it has a known cause, making it a mental illness.

It is absolutely a mental illness, whether you like it or not. We need to stop trying to change definitions of things because we don't like the connotations that come with the words don't like and instead need to work on changing the connotations and stigma that come with those designations. Mental illness doesn't mean that the person is any less human or any less deserving of compassion than anyone else. It simply means that there's something wrong with their brain.

The Biden administration on Wednesday finalized strict limits on certain so-called “forever chemicals” in drinking water that will require utilities to reduce them to the lowest level they can be reliably measured. Officials say this will reduce exposure for 100 million people and help prevent thousands of illnesses, including cancers.

The rule is the first national drinking water limit on toxic PFAS, or perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances, which are widespread and long lasting in the environment.

Health advocates praised the Environmental Protection Agency for not backing away from tough limits the agency proposed last year. But water utilities took issue with the rule, saying treatment systems are expensive to install and that customers will end up paying more for water.

Recent studies have revealed that environmental toxins known as PFAS may lower sperm count and reduce sex drive in men. Here's what you need to know.

They want it to be a mental illness so bad. The real alarming fact is that if they really believe it is a mental illness they are bullying and hating on these people as evidenced many times here.

Not sure why you constantly post about subjects you know nothing about. It absolutely is a mental illness. I’ve mentioned this before in one of these trans threads. I have a close longtime friend that runs a rehab that has two divisions, one for drug addiction and one for psychological disorders. He told me there’s quite a few trans in drug addiction rehab but the psychological rehab he said was full of trans that are completely f’d up in the head in a bad way. They’ve a adolescent side and a adult side, he straight up told me that a lot of the trans kids will never make it to adulthood, they’re very confused he added. The suicide rate in trans is very high btw.

Don’t care how much you want to virtue signal on the subject, you couldn’t be more wrong. It is very much a mental illness. I’m sure there’s a few that make it through life as a functioning and happy person, that’s not the norm though. I lived in LA/Hollywood for years and was very involved with helping recovering addicts and alcoholics. I had contact with about every configuration of a human being you can think of. The trans were almost always some of the most mentally disturbed people I knew.

Anyway, you should maybe think a little before you post because you’re wrong a lot.

Gender dysphoria is a feeling of distress that can happen when a person's gender identity differs from their sex assigned at birth or from their sex-related physical characteristics. Some transgender and gender-diverse people experience gender dysphoria at some point in their lives. Other transgender and gender-diverse people feel at ease with their bodies and gender identities, and they don't have gender dysphoria.
