She agreed to it.
Allegedly he gave her money not to talk about it.
She agreed to take the money.

She agreed to receiving a gift of money not to talk about it.

'The Hill' admits it WAS her account, that she previously deleted it last year...and only suggests it had been manipulated since then.

It offers no proof it wasn't her choice of avatar.

ALSO...after it was first discovered to be her account...it was immediately changed to 'private' and the avatar was removed.

I think the real issue the are charging him with on this one is that the fee payed to the lawyer to handle the pay off was written off as a business expense. But that's not a sizzling headline, Trump pays hush money to whore is, except no one really cares about that and then Dims don't understand why.

Yeah but you would never know that by the headlines. It's also not clear if Trump was involved directly with any of this or if his people tried to cover something up that they had done wrong. The current rumor I heard is that the attorney may have had the "business" relationship with stormy but all that is speculation at this point. So we'll see what happens.

It revolves around the fact that the payment should have been filed as an in-kind campaign contribution. It becomes a felony because Trump, allegedly, attempted to obscure the payment in the corporate ledgers.

Two people had sex.
They agreed to do so.
Two people agreed not to talk about having sex.
They agreed to do so.
One person gave the other person a money gift in exchange.
The money was freely given and freely received.

How does that equate to a 'campaign contribution'.
Looks like a legal private transaction between two consenting adults to me.

As for the corporate ledgers .. did it come from the corporations or from his own accounts
and can't he do what he wants with his own corporations money? I'm not a corporate lawyer
so I don't know the answer to that question.

It was made to protect his campaign from negative press. If it had nothing to do with Trump's campaign, why was an NDA never requested at any point after the affair occurred in 2006? Why was the hush payment only made right before the 2016 election?
