what is this song i wonder? guitar and rock people tell me

I come across this piece of Paul Gilbert and I really liked it but don't know what song it is he is playing. Please help, its so nice I want to listen to the whole song if we can find out what it is =)

Although when I continued to listen, he just seems to be taking others' tunes and making his own spin on them.

I used to know Paul he had just started teaching at MI in LA the year I started school there. The nicest guy ever👍

Oh thats a sampled EVH riff too. Amazing times. I remember NR1 channel made the intro their theme back in the day, the Apollo 440 version.
