The perpetrator behind the shocking Cybertruck bombing at Trump Tower Las Vegas has been identified as 37-year-old Matthew Livelsberger of Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Senior law enforcement sources confirmed to KOAA news outlet that Livelsberger was the driver of the Cybertruck used in the attack.
Authorities believe the blast was triggered by a detonation system controlled by Livelsberger, who died in the attack.
A LinkedIn profile believed to belong to Livelsberger paints a chilling picture, as reported by other news media.
The suspect served in the elite Green Berets, the U.S. Army’s Special Forces unit, renowned for its expertise in unconventional warfare. More alarmingly, the profile indicates Livelsberger was still actively employed by the U.S. Army as a Remote and Autonomous Systems Manager, a role he reportedly held for three months leading up to the attack.
UPDATE: Las Vegas authorities successfully resolved a four-hour standoff involving an individual who had barricaded themselves inside a bus near Fremont Street and Atlantic Street.
According to KTNV, LVMP said a person with a knife is threatening others.
Metro police reported that the individual barricaded inside a bus had been safely taken into custody without any further incidents.
Recent investigations have uncovered a potential link between two tragic incidents: the New Year’s Day attack in New Orleans and the Tesla Cybertruck explosion in Las Vegas.
Both perpetrators are reported to have military backgrounds, with service records at Fort Bragg, North Carolina.
The driver was identified as 37-year-old Matthew Livelsberger, an active-duty U.S. Special Forces soldier currently stationed in Germany and on active leave, who had served at Fort Bragg.
Senior law enforcement sources confirmed to KOAA news outlet that Livelsberger was the driver of the Cybertruck used in the attack.
Sheriff Kevin McMahill confirmed on Thursday that Livelsberger’s body was so badly burned in the explosion that identification was only possible through his tattoos, Daily Mail reported.
The sheriff said Livelsberger was found in the vehicle with a “self-inflicted gunshot wound” to the head.
“We believe the question is, was the gunshot self-inflicted? We do believe it was since he was the only person in the vehicle, and it occurred immediately prior to the vehicle blowing up,” McMahill said.
He continued, “The question is, am I comfortable calling it a suicide mission? I’m comfortable calling it a suicide with the bombing that occurred immediately thereafter. I’m not given and any other labels.”
Credit cards, a military ID, and his passport were also found on his person, but DNA confirmation is still pending.
“There’s lots more for us to do in this investigation. We haven’t even gotten into the phones or the computers, which are usually very instructive and informative to us as we investigate. We’ve got a lot more work to do to trace him, to see the stores that he went to, to rule out anybody else. Lots of investigative work to do. We’re just trying to give you an update on what we know now that is factual,” McMahill added.

I'm thinking he was all ready deceased when (before) the Tesla exploded.
