We're 7 pages into a thread in which no one knows if, or how much of Trump Tower the Donald actually owns, because he posted in all caps "Keep Your Filthy Hands Off Of Trump Tower!'' on Truth Social. LOL

If you have something to add other than blame and bullying, please do add something of value to this thread! If you have evidence of Donald owning more of Trump Tower, other than the sign that says "Trump Tower", please do post it!

The Trump Building
The Trump Building, 40 Wall Street. The Trump organization owns the ground lease, which means it has a leasehold interest in the building and the land, paying rent to the owner. A 2012 bank appraisal valued the building at $220 million. If the valuation still holds today — Trump put the value at $530 million in 2013, according to James' lawsuit — that's a little less than half of the $454 million bond sought.

Trump Tower
Trump Tower, 725 Fifth Avenue. Trump owns an apartment here while the Trump Organization owns the retail and commercial portions. Newsweek cited a 2017 Forbes valuation of the building at $371 million.

Let’s get some things straight.

Regardless of how much of Trump Tower he owns it’s enough to be named Trump Tower.
Regardless of how many square feet the penthouse is, the banks did their own due diligence and loaned him the money under no duress.
No crime. A normal business transaction.
No victim. The banks negotiated the loans and were happy to make money and would do so again.

If they start seizing property it’s going to get ugly.
Central Park will be renamed Trump Park Central.
Libs heads will explode. We don’t want to have to clean that up.

What makes you an authority on this subject?

Not necessarily. Trump sells his name. The Trump Co also offers property management services. After Trump was elected, no less than 3 New York buildings, that were "renting" the Trump name, took down their "Trump" signs.

Sorry, but that isn't the threshold for criminal activity.

Thanks. So, the only part of Trump Tower that he owns is the apartment where Melania and Barron live, which apparently carries a hefty mortgage. The Trump Org owns a lease on the building which it pays rent to the owner and the Trump Org apparently owns the retail mall area.

"There are some common misconceptions about exactly what Trump Tower is and what portion of it is Donald Trump's to sell," he told Newsweek. "If he's forced to liquidate assets, he won't get much value out of the commercial portion or triplex apartment owned, on a hefty mortgage, by the Trump Organization. The rest of the building's condos are owned by individual occupants.

www.newsweek.com...

So, Donald Trump doesn't really own much of Trump Tower at all.

There isn’t a victim.

I'm not sure what you win by his having a mortgage on a property, but if that's the threshold, you can feel like a winner at least for today. Congrats, your family must be proud.

Yea, comedy is fun, but ignorance is forever.

What makes you an authority on this subject?

Everyone knows that running a stop sign or a red light when no one else is waiting at an intersection can still get you a ticket and a fine, even though there was no victim.

Conspiracy to commit a crime can get you in legal trouble, even though there was no victim.

Common sense is my authority. Common sense says if Trump is having trouble coming up with the money to pay the fine and needs someone to co-sign or even to put up a bond for him, he isn't as financially liquid as he has pretended to be.

It means that the property is leveraged, and he doesn't have the freedom to sell it. It means he isn't financially liquid, when it comes to Trump Tower. It means that Trump Tower isn't "his".

no, what it means is he owns more than the sign, which was your claim. But you can post your net worth and impress us all if you want.

This is what I said:

Probably the only part of Trump Tower that Trump actually owns is the "Trump Tower" sign and maybe the Penthouse. And that probably belongs to Melania and Barron.

He doesn't even own the Penthouse, it's mortgaged. He doesn't own the building. The Trump Org pays rent to the owner of the building. Apparently, the Trump Org "owns" the rights to the retail area and collects rent from the businesses.

It looks like that's all he "owns", that is if the retail area isn't leveraged too. We don't know. But, if not, it is fair game for Letticia James, but that's all that she can get out of Trump Tower, because Trump doesn't own Trump Tower.

I quoted you

You never quoted me claiming that he only owned the sign. You quoted me asking for proof that he owns more than the sign.

FACTS:
He doesn't own the building.
He doesn't own his penthouse.
Trump Org pays rent to the building owner.
Trump Org collects rent on the businesses in the retail mall, which they "own", but they pay rent on the building to the building owner.

FACT
When Donald Trump claims that Trump Tower is his, he's lying.

Yes, again, I quoted you. DIrectly.

And I don't give a rats ass what Trump owns or doesn't own. He won't be sending me another check anytime soon. But I did like the last one he sent.

Now, tell us all what you win by revealing to the world that Trump doesn't own all of Trump tower, then tell us all about the high rise that bears your name.

and can you quote where Trump claimed to own Trump tower?

When I invite friends to my house I don't say, "Hey come over to the bank's house that I pay a mortgage on".

These libs are so desperate for ANY tiny, inconsequential, "technical" win that they can't see nobody cares.

Nobody

LOL

So if you take out a 2nd mortgage your house is no longer yours? or you create an LLC you cannot rent to yourself?

The logic here is outstanding.

Take a look at his financials per the 2020 Presidential Disclosure.

Link

He is doing just fine.

As for Trump Tower on 5th, The Trump-Equitable Fifth Avenue Company owns 99% and the TRUMP TOWER MANAGING MEMBER INC owns 1%. It is all his. The mortgage on this property was paid off in 2022.

This is nothing more than them trying to embarrass him but he does that on daily basis...so...it is kind of stupid. If they left him alone he would implode but there is nothing in the MSM to talk about..

Right. But, you can't sell the house without first paying off the bank, because the bank owns The Title of "your" house, not you.

Trump isn't trying to throw a party. He's trying to sell or leverage property to pay a fine.

Besides the fact that after his fraud ruling, his financial papers can't really be trusted to be true and accurate, there sure are a lot of empty spaces and spaces ticked off as less than $201 in the Income Category of those pages.

Yes, as far as I remember, when he was losing his casinos -- it was the banks that suggested branding the Trump name and renting it out for business purposes -- so as not to default loans.
