Sooo it seems now that russia is so strapped for military vehicles they are using armored chinese gold cart to move troops around

..a T-62 IFV definitely is better than, say, a 13-ton MT-LB armored tractor or, worse, an unarmored and open-top Desertcross-1000 utility vehicle weighing just 1.5 tons. A heavy-duty golf cart, basically—thousands of which the Kremlin recently bought from a Chinese company.

Yikes! These dont exactly yell "war machine" ...it goes on to say

More and more of the 85-horsepower Desertcrosses are rolling toward the front line in Ukraine, performing a mission any healthy army would assign to armored IFVs. More and more of the Desertcrosses—and their hapless passengers—are getting blown up by Ukrainian mines, drones, missiles and artillery. Even a few well-placed rifle rounds could ruin a Desertcross crew’s day.

One of the "greatest" militaries of our time is using golf carts to get around while their fleet now lives at the bottom of the black sea and their "carrier" has to be pulled everywhere.

And its getting real bad over there... They are sending in turretless tanks ..

a 1960s-vintage T-62 tank with its turret removed, leaving an empty space in its 32-ton hull for infantry to crouch inside. The other was a 35-ton BTS-2 engineering vehicle based on a T-54 tank from the 1950s, apparently also missing its top equipment—specifically, its crane and winch—in order to make space for passengers.

These numbers dont bode well for russia...

Russian industry manufactures around 30 new infantry fighting vehicles a month. So the Russian military losing 200 IFVs between Feb. 14 and March 14 is ... a problem. A problem the Kremlin solves, in part, by pulling old Cold War IFVs out of storage, minimally refurbishing them and shipping them off to the front line at a rate of around 50 a month.

End time for russia soon ... Unless they can get their golf carts in gear lol

That’s just western propaganda. Russia has the strongest war machine and production capacity, even surpassing the west.

And it’s all because they’re not woke. Truly a sight to be seen.

I'm sorry. When I read your thread title I thought about the poor kid driving the chicken-wired golf cart picking up golf balls at the range when everyone aims at him, or her.

Which is why Ukraine was defeated 2 years ago and Russia is just outside Paris. Is this why Macron is so riled up recently?

I'm neither fore nor against Russia, but I just want to point out if these reports of have pathetic the Russian military is, then why did the media lose their... crap when Russia use a Hypersonic Missile? I don't think what we are seeing in Ukraine is anything near as to what Russia would put forth in a full-scale war. We should just stop kidding ourselves with these poorly written propaganda pieces.

Yep, I think most people have forgotten the fact that Russia could eliminate Ukraine in a matter of minutes if they really wanted to. This is a war Ukraine can’t win.

Where are those missiles? Not so hypersonic, but more hyperbole. Russia is not doing well... Let me ask the one question of... if it was the US against Ukraine how long would the war last?

I wouldn't mind having one of those armored Desertcross-1000 utility vehicle. They aren't golf carts, they are four wheel drive UTVs. I am sure our army has some of those for transporting stuff but not to great to have in a war zone. I suppose they could be fitted with bullet proof glass on the windshield for a grand more which is part of their armoring. Good for hauling small supplies and ammo I suppose, but I sure would not take them to the front and attack with one.

I think a better question is:
"Is this a war at all, or is it something else?"

I say this since the Russian have said it was a humanitarian mission. Zelensky has claimed it was an invasion. If it was a war like the media says it is, then why hasn't the Russians ransacked the entire country be now. Then we have to address the weird oddity of all that equipment getting sent over to Ukraine ending up on the black-market.

Don't forget in the beginning of all this Putin and Zelensky were going to have a peace talk. That is until Boris Johnson stepped in and told Zelensky not to. Now it smells more of a laundry scam of equipment and cash.

I have a friend that was over there in the beginning of this, and what he told me about was sickening. It wasn't the Ukrainians, or even Zelensky himself, it was all about outside influences using the country for less than humanitarian purposes (think human trafficking, black-market for human organs and fluids, and biolabs)

So, is it a real war? What do you think it is?

supposedly russia is using atv's in syria,

Russian army receives several types of all-terrain vehicles - Part 1

and one for the desertcross 1000

China delivers more than 2,100 Desertcross 1000-3 ATVs to Russia

personally if told told ride / drive one of these into a firefight like Ukraine is. i'd just ask to hump in, cause everybody is gonna be wanting to take those UTV's and ATV's out.

i'd rather take my chances with the drones finding my cover when the firings starts.

About 20 years. Then we'd just leave without really winning.

See iraq and Afghanistan.

If all the western countries would just send a few more bazillion dollars and all of our military equipment I'm sure Ukraine could continue winning the war and defeat Russia.
