LOTS of work.
Half of it is food prep. Strictly raw diet of :

Chicken - breast, necks, wings, drum, hearts, giblets, livers.
Whole quail. Mice - frozen.
Sardines, shrimp, quail eggs, …. And many other generally yucky things lol.

I bought a deep freezer just for his meals.

On his bday he will get a whole chicken lol

It's a pretty cute cat, looks friendly but...It's a cat....and cats can get pretty wild if they get wound up.

Maybe those bunny ears it has will make it less of a threat.

I'd file down his claws and teeth if I were you. No, I'm not paranoid.

Amazing animal, I'm jealous.

I travel to much to own such a creature, maybe when I'm older.

Oh wow, I've looked into those, they are awesome. I've always wanted a bobcat, but I have young kids. In PA, you need an exotic animal permit, along with an outdoor enclosure the cat can go to. Congrats on your cat!

If you rescue one of these and they can't be let back outside because they got used to people, go for it. If you just want one, because... I think you should just leave them in the wild.

That cat is huge.
I've never heard of them before.
Are they domestic cats or are they wild cats that are tamed?
Where do you live in the world that they'd be legal to own?

They're wild African cats, and his isn't even fully grown yet. They'll always be wild, but they can form a bond with a few people they live with. Same with bobcats. I've seen videos of them jumping at birds in Africa, it looks like they can jump about 10 feet high from a standstill.

Schmoe3755 summed it up perfectly!

I’m in Ontario Canada.
Our exotic animal laws are fairly loose compared to a lot of other places.
It comes down to being a responsible owner and being able to provide properly for their needs.
These guys are a lot of work.
But the bond you can create is absolutely amazing.
Its almost humbling in a way knowing this wild animal cares back for you lol.

I'm always amazed at animal-human bonds even if the animals are 'domesticated'. Most of them are overjoyed with having a regular source of food and appropriate amounts of recognition and praise. And their intelligence ... far higher than commonly assumed.

Cheers

Especially Servals.
They have problem solving intelligence.
It’s actually pretty crazy how smart they are

Oh, incredible! That doesn't resemble a cat at all, or at least not our conventional idea of one. I've harbored a lifelong desire for a large majestic feline companion similar to the new one you have, perhaps in the cards for me down the line. Wishing you the best of luck on your thrilling journey with your newfound friends. Appreciate you sharing the enchantment of such a stunning creature, my friend!

Nice!
Main coons are often breed with servals to make Savannah cats.

I believe my Savannah Nova, is Siamese and Serval.
I got a DNA breed and health, test for my German Shepherd.
It would be neat to get one for Nova to see what exactly his grandpa was
