IMO -- WOKE is what's emerging now that laws don't prevent it.

"Traditional" laws kept everyone in their "proper" place.

The "Fringe" people who were forced by "polite society" -- created their own culture on the fringes of society and in the shadows -- because they could be arrested and put in prison.

They've always been. They just were never free to be themselves.

It was easy. It's easy to paint it as a deviant takeover.

I will never see this as top down. It's bottom up and back down. And like you said, society became permissive, and it took off.

That was easy to demonize and portray as a perverse Satanic takeover. All it needed was a growing consensus and dirty laundry to sensationalize (rachet people up with) and go off connecting pieces that confirm a bias that society is degenerating.

It's viral. You even had to make a point to confirm to your support of woke values is NOT support of abuse, which gets defined as teaching anything that contradicts traditional male/female dichotomies to children.

How do you defend teenage trans-issues when doing so means you support sexual abuse by proxy?

I just support the depressed teenager that feels wrong in their body. But I was brainwashed into believing gender confusion is a thing that can exist.

I didn't think it would be 1/20, but we do ingest a lot of hormones via environment, and I know what androgens do in utero, so it could theoretically be a pharmacological phenomenon that found growing acceptance.

Legitimate or trend, neither of which are the end of the world to me.
