Appeals court to allow Texas immigration law that criminalizes illegal migrant crossings

An appeals court on Saturday reversed a lower court’s decision to block Texas from enforcing a new state law that would make illegal immigration a state crime.

The 5th Circuit Court of Appeals went against U.S. District Judge David A. Ezra's order to block Texas' Senate Bill 4 but also put its own ruling on hold for seven days should the Biden administration want to appeal to the Supreme Court.

The new law allows state authorities to arrest and jail illegal immigrants and would give state judges the power to order deportations.

The law was initially set to go into effect on March 5 but will now be put on hold until March 9 unless the Supreme Court intervenes.

The Biden Administration and Democrats just got handed another loss. The 5th Circuit decided that Texas can protect it's borders, but it's been put on hold for 7 days to give the Federal Govt a chance to appeal to the SCOTUS.

The question is, will Democrats risk another very public loss ? The decision by SCOTUS to keep Trump on the ballot in Colorado was a huge disappointment for the Left and it will apply to any other state who tries it.

Even "sanctuary cities" have admitted this is a disaster and can't handle the influx of illegals, so will Democrats finally see the light and start actually enforcing the law or will they fight it ?

If they do, it will be for political points, not because they care.

As they should be. Illegal aliens sneak over here illegally, which immediately makes them criminals, and they're treated better than Americans. We can't even drive our cars unbuckled, but these criminals come over here, sell drugs, kill people, and jack shart happens to them.

Shouldn't Biden have to come up with a few billion dollars to appeal this?

Thanks for caring enough to make me aware of that. And what I said was no joke - America has slipped too much these past three years. I am fully aware of that and that those behind this are desperate. There's no telling when they'll snap and who knows what they're capable of doing? I say to them - bring it on if you think you can take us down. You won't find me unprepared.

The thing they will bring is Dem votes. All that free sh!t and leniency are essentially bribes with favours collected at election time.

Democrats may feign shock and distress. Don’t be fooled. Dems see these newcomers as their guarantee of a permanent voting majority in local elections. Not years from now, after the newcomers become citizens. Right now.

The (busy) U.S. Supreme Court ruled TONIGHT, that the new Texas law allowing illegals to be arrested, IS TO NOT BE ENFORCED.

Biden Admin asked the Supreme Court to stop this law from going into effect earlier today. A few hours later, the Supreme Court responded.

Pundits on MSNBC were angry today because the SCOTUS moves so slow regarding Donald Trump issues. They will really be mad tomorrow, after the Supreme Court took action on Biden's request, just a few hours after he made it!

It's a great day when good ol' common sense takes precedence. I hope we see more of that in the future. All it takes is one dem or one dem funded "organization" to file suit and everything gets held up. Like the dems say..... "we need common sense reform" for what ever they are rheeing into the sky that day...looks like we may have got some...until the rheeeing begins and they/them/zim/zher/shim/sher/shamwow try to block it.
