Not that I am making any claims to such, but somethings should be apparent to these others. I am certain many are not the dumb ass they play on ATS, but they are rather cunning useful idiots non the less. Nor are we evolved enough to actualize and realize our unique natures and potential...because power corrupts...and there are forces that wish to see us fail...and fall...

I much prefer the recognition that our unique cultural and racial differences are part of our strength...and not a detriment...or an excuse to denigrate and shame and challenge...simply because they are different...and not members of a given tribe...

There are dark days ahead my friend...this cancer will not go easy into that long night...nor will it leave the world unscarred...

It's funny. You know about the situation of the Russian Orthodox Church in Russia better than I, an Orthodox Christian.

Back when you started, I was very very skeptical of your motives. AT least if I don't agree with them your narrative fits what I see is happening to some degree. How can I decide who is truthful in the time of lies ruling the day? Not sure that Orwell's 1984 has been read or the movie seen by many that should. Communism hasn’t won! Capitalism has lost.

It turns out capitalism is a sham that’s little more than a constant wealth transfer from worker to the rich. Prices ever rising making the rich richer, the poor poorer. Generations have suffered capitalism’s hoarding by the rich and growing debt slavery - neo-fuedalism - which was accelerated by zero interest rates after the 2008 banking crash; millions have been suckered into over leveraging and will now be forever the lending industry’s bitch.

Thatcher & Reagan mis-sold the doubling down of this enslavement as ‘trickle down economics’: they lied to us that giving to the rich will increase their profits, which in turn allow them to create jobs and increase wages. It didn’t happen! They kept the money, created tax havens and gave themselves ridiculously enormous dividends. In hindsight it established and normalised socialism for the rich & capitalism for the poor; the rich get bailouts and the ever harder working tax payers fund it.

None of this is an endorsement of Communism. On paper Communism is great - it’s a system of equality. But in practice it is managed by humans - humans are always corruptible, or indeed rise to those position by being corrupt and ruthless. That creates an Orwellian totalitarian regime - the worst of all outcomes.

But it is clear that Capitalism did not work. It’s the rationale fed to us by overlords purchased on high feeding on us all. To quell potential revolt their media distract us with war, terror, virus, or gender or racial divides - any polemic will do, so long as its not a Class polemic - not a rich and poor divide. And the grand illusion - the biggest distraction, they provide us the pantomime falsehood of democracy - the illusion of choice that allows the gullible majority, the hypnotised, or sheeple as we label them here to believe that they’re in charge…. But that’s another topic…

Thats why we are not a democracy, we are a republic, unfortunately our current government completely ignores the constitution and eventual all democracies turn into socialist or totalitarian governments. We need to get back to the constitution a reply to: RussianTroll

Culture wars based on gender ideologies and social justice are not what communism was about in the USSR. Culture wars are what Conservative movements in the west use to get elected, because the masses aren't ever going to vote for a political party with a manifesto that only has tax cuts for the rich and deregulation for the benefit corporations listed on the page as policies. And so far these tactics are working well.

The west in the 2020s is capitalism on steroids. There's hardly any nationalisation of industry left and unions are almost non-existent. So how the hell can we be going all commy?

It's not him that needs to get his head tested. He knows very well what communism is. Everyone from the former Eastern Socialist block does. If not not from direct experience, then from their parents' anecdotes.

Capitalism won in the 80's and it is slowly destroying the west.

The solution is holding those in power to account for the mismanagement. Not a snowballs chance in hell will that happen.
