Trump-hating New York Attorney General Letitia James said she will seize Donald Trump’s assets if he can’t pay a civil fraud fine, which, when finally totaled up, could approach half a billion dollars. She also said she has no personal vendetta against Trump.

You gotta see this:

Here's MSNBC shamelessly gloating over the fine that's been levied against the "disgraced, twice-impeached, four-times-indicted ex-president".

This is fine.

Do you not understand that this will never be used against another political enemy let alone anyone who is not in politics?

Yes! It's also very satisfying that NY politics is being exposed for the corrupt cesspool it is.
Eric Adams, Alvin Bragg, Letitia James, Kathy Hochul.

Then there's Schumer and Nadler. Uugghhh...I'm getting nauseated.

Our next President (in 11 months!) says he loves the challenges these attacks present, and are Yuge learning experiences.

How to get away with it next time?

It certainly won't be used against them when the pendulum swings to the right./sarc

(Unfortunately that is probably not sarc....the right tries to be nice)

So I woke up and chose violence today. Again. And on that note......

How much gloating do you think the MSM and NY AG are going to be doing once the trucker strike goes into effect, halting the majority of shipments to NY over this verdict, as well as the real estate companies that are actively pulling out of NY en masse? Several massive firms/corps announced their cancellation of current underwriting the other day, and a halt of all future business there.

I'm excited. Are you excited? That state is going to implode over their own arrogance and stupidity.

Yes, and also how to use the system they created to punish all of them. I'll laugh bigley when you complain about it being used against the idiot left.

From your sentence construction I assume the word "never" doesn't belong there and you mean to imply that this law WILL be used against political enemies and people who are not in politics?

The law in question--New York Executive Law § 63(12)--has been on the books since 1956 and has been used against many people, most of whom are non-politicians. It was used against that other well-known narcissist Martin Shkrelli for example. The law deals with individuals who engage in repeated and persistent fraud.

Don't cook the books for a decade or more and you don't have anything to worry about.

time will tell if any organized effort by truckers emerges, but the moguls leaving the NYC real estate market are real and happening in real time. How could anyone believe this wouldn't be used against them, should they anger the establishment in any way baffles even the slow witted folk. They got away with it thus far, and they were able to hurt their target by going after a large portion of his wealth, thus enriching the people in charge of the state.

Once they realize how newton's third law works, they will wonder how to recover from an "it's too late baby" situation.

So dumb that they don't know their desperate actions make Trump more popular and they'll never bring him down like that. He's cleaner than any other politician lol, especially in the democrat party.

It's only a matter of time before they go full Commiefornia and try and institute laws to tax people upon their exit from the state.....

I have heard a lot of things on the trucker side already; it's not going to be a full stop, but enough to create an issue like they did here and there over the last few years.

LOL, I think that ship has also sailed a while ago. Had they any smarts at all, they would have ignored him back in 2015, and continued to do so. But they couldn't help grabbing that cash from the ratings and clicks. Now they have to live with the monster they created, and it scares them.

Those of is on this side, are enjoying the results of his work, while smiling at the collective melt down it's all causing. It's the closest thing I can think of to having your cake, and being able to enjoy the taste.

The deranged Liberals here will not watch that first video because it presents the truth and facts.
James is total con artist just like 99.9% of the Democrats.

I’ve said it dozens of times, they are doing this to attempt to beat him down and make him withdraw from running for president.
They cannot use the same con game scheme they did in 2020 with the Scamdemic lockdowns to use fraudulent mail-in ballots, nobody is going to fall for that bullsh!t again.
They know that Biden can’t beat him in a fair and square election.

I cannot wait for the President Trump vendetta tour starting in Jan 2025.

Yeah, I remember that Martin guy.

I feel like there's a big difference between blatant price gouging and fraud, and negotiated bank loans that were paid in full per contract based on property valuations done by multiple parties that instituted zero fraud, that affected absolutely nobody except NY's finest's feelings.

It's amazing that you always have so much to say but never anything of substance.

Also, I see sarcasm is clearly outside of your understanding......

ETA:

Also, 20 minutes before your inane post, I posted this.

The CFO plead guilty, and it was basically a 15 year investigation.

This isn't just about Donald Trump the individual, it's about Trump Organization, the brand.

The law will be used again, like it was used agaisnt other corporate entities or people who seek to screw over the public for pure profits.

Maybe they'll try to restrict people's bank accounts, like Fidel Trudeau did to the Canadians. I could see that happening. Attorney General James will find some obscure law that allows her to victimize the citizens that aren't toeing the party line.

Except the "public wasn't screwed."

The damages would have been to the bank....if they would only admit that instead of defending Trump and his org...
