I'm so glad that we're back to this mental garbage dump from the Left of Center field.

I'm looking forward to this being a more regular thing once again.

Are you stoked? I know I'm stoked.

I think in order to earn your red hat, you have to memorize this:

He never said that.

Okay he may have said it, but he was just being sarcastic.

Okay, it wasn't sarcasm, he just misspoke. He's a very stable genius.

Hurray hurray hurray.. You win the second place ribbon for not discussing the topic at all by placing photos of people with captioned slogans . Got a library with them do you?

No, you would rather slander me than to discuss the topic of the thread which I will make an attempt to reiterate to you.

Watch the video of his original statement. Do you see any signs of him being sarcastic? Was there any eye rolls or smirks as he made that statement? Did he announce it at the time by saying something like ''in case you didn't notice, I was being sarcastsic there by conflating Haley with Pelosi? No, no one did. He was being serious and only weeks later did he try to cover his gaffe by claiming it was so.

So here is a man who you want to be potus who accidentally conflates two very different women and cannot admit it then rather than admitting it lies to our faces with a lie so thin that he has to use a word like ''impose'' to make it sound as if he is smarter than you while at the same time demonstrating that he isn't. Or is he any smarter than you.

The left-right mentality some people assume to be the only colour of the day does not help matters.

As to the candidates, that's reminiscent of the likes of "Grumpy Old Men" and getting better by the day.

Again it would be hilarious if it wasn't so tragic given the real-world implications.

Your nation will once again be forced to choose the lesser of two evils by my guess.

Good luck, we are screwed and politics broken over here also, so smoke them if you got them...........

We should all be beyond whataboutism by now don't you think? I get it, Biden should not be running for postus again. But the point is neither should Trump.

And yes, he made a simple mistake by conflating two different women from two very different political backgrounds in his mind. Yes, we all got that and hopefully we understand that we all do it, just as you point out. However there is more to learn from his gaffe.

To me, it's that in his conflation of those two women, and he describes it pretty well, they are both on the same side to him at least. At best. And what is it that would make it so easy for him to accidentally conflate them in his head as he suggests? Simply that they both stand up to him. They both speak their minds about him and point out that he is not who he pretends to be. Hence he accidentally conflates their names. I get it. I"m Trump's age and I GET IT.

But what he does then, rather than admit it is to lie about it. Seeking any excuse to cover his very sad gaffe is to lie about it claiming he was being sarcastic and in doing so claiming that rather than ''conflating'' the two, that he was ''interposing''.

The point being that neither Biden nor Trump should be extolled as any kind of national or world leader. They are both old dodgers who need to be put out to rest.

Yes. Let's talk about the name slip and not what he is actually talking about .The fact that Pelosi REFUSED assistance on 1/6.

Lemmings.....

" Can you explain how it was sarcasm? "

Can you Explain Beyond a Shadow of a Doubt that it Was Not ? Concerning that , Mr. Trump's Reputation as a Keen Wit Precedes him .

Biden . Of course. Dump him. Now that we are on the same page about that, let's get back to the topic of the thread.

Trump.

And yes, he used an incorrect verb. But he used it three times in a short excuse. Three times as if he had just heard the word and wanted to impress us with his intelligence. Can you explain that any other way other than ''we all do it''?

But even that was not the main topic of the thread. The main topic was that he now claims he was being sarcastic. Earlier in the thread a member posted a video of that little talk of his. Did you see it? If not please go back and watch it and tell me if you can that you noticed ANY indication that he was being sarcastic at that moment. Eye rolls? Smirks? He does those all the time as you likely have seen. But did he then? I could see none. All I could see was him being very serious. Did he stop and add anything there like ''" in case you missed it folks, I was being sarcastic there folks''. Nope. nothing like that at all.

Instead, weeks later he chose to, rather than admit his gaffe, come out and lie about it. LIE ABOUT IT.

Yes. Competency and verbiage. But between those two, competency first but lying second before verbiage. The point of his lying about it is much more important than what verb he used to make the lie. Again, watching the video of that statement, there is from my watching no indication of sarcasm as I have mentioned in other replies. He was dead on serious. Rather than admit a simple and forgivable gaffe, he chose, chose , to lie about it.

And in the exuberance of decrying all of the obvious faults and missteps of the Democrats, all to often the out right lies of Trump are forgiven, excused or ignored by his supporters.

It seems that like so many others, you choose to focus on the cheap shots that the late night comics toss out for comedic entertainment rather than discussing more serious concerns over Trump. Have it your way, I won't discuss this with you any longer, though I cannot speak for ''others of my ilk''.

I don't know if your reply was for my attention but if so, having surfed the beaches of California in the mid to late sixties, It sure charges my engine to read the word ''stoked''.

My intent here Z is not to explain anything ''beyond a shadow of doubt'', rather at best, to help anyone who wants to think about it that he might not have been being sarcastic but instead, lied about it. Three weeks later.

Have you watched the video that Gortex put up? The one of that speech he made back then? If not, watch it. If you have, did you see any signs of sarcasm? Did you see any eye rolls that so often accompany sarcasm? How about even a smirk. I didn't. Did he come out and say, ''for those who missed it, I was being sarcastic there folks.. Nope none of that. Only him being very serious with no signs of the often jocular side of his presentations.

As for his reputation for a ''keen wit'', rather than ''keen'' I would place his ''wit'' level at extremely base or lowbrow.

Oh by the way, are you running some kind of program that capitalizes nearly every word you post?

I stopped smoking tobacco a few years back myself.

And feel a lot better for it both physically and financially.
