I would have thought Jesus's primary message and mission was one of grace, salvation, and forgiveness, as opposed to curses, hex, and punishment.

The problem is that people choose to interpret the Bible and scripture as they please.

Meaning you can make it mean anything you want.

Anyhoo my bet is if it does all kick off the Middle East.

The place, including Israel, will become a radioactive wasteland for quite some time.

Same as the rest of the majority of occupied land in the northern hemisphere.

It is but there is another angle to it. As the parables put it there is an ultimate harvest of souls.

This world isn't the final destination of humanity. Rather it should be considered like its a school. People are born. They grow up and grow old. And finally die of multiple reasons. During these lifetimes the experiences they have shapes them. And as the parable puts it the wheat will be gathered. And the tares destroyed.

And for Israel it appears if someone attempted to nuke Israel or otherwise tried to destroy it now that the Apocalypse is running would be destroyed themselves. Look up Gog-Magog in Ezekiel 38 and 39..
