I apologise for being absent over the last few weeks; real life stuff hit the fan and it's a tough slog back to normality.

Nonetheless, I wanted to pop in and congratulate Lumenari and Chr0naut for their respective accolades.

Well done F2d5thCavv2 on your 2nd place finish and applause to everyone who took part. The stories were diverse, enlightening and entertaining.

As Lumenari kindly conceded to Chr0naut the choice of the next theme, I wait with bated breath what it will be; hoping I'll be able to participate as well if life affords me some respite.

One day at a time, Encia.

I know how it can be. Things start 'spinning' and before one can stop the spin of one situation, another situation cranks up ... it can be difficult to reestablish calm and order.

Something that staff has always held dear --- real life takes precedence. Never think you have to apologize for real life drawing you away. We all have to do what we have to. Welcome back, and I hope things look better for you my friend.

Blessings and thanks to all participants! I will try my best to be more present and even *gasp!* maybe write a short story in the next contest. Really appreciate you all. You have been part of the core of what makes ATS unique and special.

I am guessing that this next Short Story Contest as inspired by Chr0naut will be the best ever. Things are strange everywhere. We are tight within this space. There is another space in which we will someday be tight. Let us give our best effort as we have always done.

My creative juices a flowing. *ew*. Maybe that's not something a person of my age should say. I should always try to be aware of the elderly-creepy-factor. Selah.
