That's good to hear. And yes, POE cameras are the way to go. No need for power separate power.

LOL that cyber security training comes in handy at times.

I use Wyze cameras and have had no trouble at all with them. My wife got me a Marcum for Xmas. It is an underwater camera. Aqua -Vu is also another good underwater camera.

with hikvision, there is a program called IVMS 4500 that you can load on a PC with lots of storage, it can be remotely located or on site, and it can record all data for a redundant record, and the program is free.

Close, but again I'm looking for something that will stream record to my own CLOUD server.

I finally got the Reolink system installed and It meets every expectation. I wish the resolution would have been a little sharper than it is but all considered, it appears to be a very good system. The final installation included the NVR with 3 cameras and a doorbell.

The software controllability of the individual components through the NVR software is impressive.
I installed the system and all the components cost around $650-$700. You can not expect a good system to be cheap.

In all, completely satisfied.

That sounds cool. Maybe in the next ten years, we'll have that type of security camera www.tp-link.com... as technology continues to evolve. And yeah, I agree with you, nowadays, people are smart enough to detect cameras, especially thieves and burglars.

We need one of those cameras at the patio door and it would be nice if it could identify a deer and send a trigger to an Alexa so it says there are hungry deer waiting for food at the deck waiting. Sort of like they have for drive through restaurants. We cannot put food out unless they are there, it might attract bears to our deck. We can't have bird feeders, sewet cages, or hummingbird feeders out there, the bear come and tear the stuff apart. So seed only goes out in small amounts when the chippies, squirrels, and birds can finish it off. Apples and potatoes, carrots, and homemade organic bread only goes out when the deer are present. We don't appreciate those Black bears hanging around our deck. Don't mind porkypines, woodchucks, or martins or weasels, they can't crash through the glass doors.

I am not racist, I call them black bears only because they are black around here, no polar bears or brown bears around here.
