Even though Joe Biden violated several Federal Laws by illegally taking highly classified "materials" (FBI Word) home, and other places, when he was a U.S. Senator and Vice President, the publicity surrounding the appointment of a Special Counsel, lasted 15 minutes on Jan 12th 2023.

Oct 9th 2023 WASHINGTON (AP) — President Joe Biden has been interviewed as part of an independent investigation into his handling of classified documents, the White House said late Monday. It’s a possible sign that the investigation is nearing its end.

Special Counsel Robert Hur is investigating the improper retention of classified documents from Biden’s time as a U.S. Senator...and as Vice President.

These were found at his Delaware home, as well as at a private office that he used in between his service in the Obama administration and becoming president.

Biden has said he did not know the documents were there.
More at: www.pbs.org...

Democrat Pundits are worried that Special Counsel Hur will issue a formal report that severely damages President Joe Biden's Nov 2024 re-election chances.

Those of you who know how serious it is to steal classified documents, and selling some of their content to a foreign power (as the House alleges), what do you think the ramifications will be for President Biden's re-election?

Hard to go mainstream when ABC/NBC/CNN/MSNBC are lapdogs for Democrat party. Look at how they refused to cover Hunter laptop story. They wonder why people have lost trust in main stream media.

A democrat shill will take the fall, one of his aides who "died yesterday".

Case closed.

DoJ won't follow up.

Biden is cleared.

What's more concerning to me is what was in those Top Secr5et doccuments and would they have been useful to the CCP in plans against America?

I read a week ago that 2023 logged a record number of Chinese to Pen Biden oin 2023, but can't find the article atm.

MSM did block revelations about the Biden crime family on Hunter's computer. But so did Twitter and Facebook. Those two platforms will be filled with revelations from the HUR report, if the report is honest.

One "aide" cant be blamed. These thefts occurred over (at least) a 10 year time span, from 2007 (or sooner) to 2017.

Hur was specifically appointed to investigate this by Biden's AG, Merrick Garland.

Don't hold your breath.

Obama had the right to declassify things, so if Joe was taking orders for some pay to play by the president it it really illegal? Need to know become a free speech thing as the highest bidder wins is the convoluted legalize to protect political bribery these days.

Joe bragging about bribing Ukraine $1 Billion dollars to close the investigations into his son's company did not hurt his election. Corn Pop was one bad dude.

This is just going through the motions.

The DOJ acknowledging the the Hunter laptop is verified was the signal that the establishment was done with sleepy Joe.

The BS will grag on until right after the DNC convention. Then Joe will either drop out or be thrown out.

Then the DNC can put up whoever they want according to their own rules.

I don’t think it matters one bit to their uneducated base voters. Not one thing can disrupt what they have been told, and how they’ve been told to vote. Trump is not welcome in swamp rat click, so they are told he’s a racist, misogynist, anti-gay, Russian lapdog and they believe it.
Now if they said Trump was an ass, and says incredibly dumb stuff, I can see that. But they don’t even know why they hate him and vote for a guy that spent his life in public service making millions and millions of dollars. How? Not off his salary. At least Trump made it doing business in a Capitalist society!

It wont his base is to ignorant about what that means, heck just look at the arguments here on ATS, supposedly smart awake people still dismissed everything, including the ones that went back to his time as a senator.

Once again you prove that you are clueless as to how classified information works.

For all the time Joe was a Senator (that would be through Jan, 15, 2009) he was authorized to possess classified information, and was exempt from "18 U.S. Code § 1924 - Unauthorized removal and retention of classified documents or material". because of the following wording of that Code:

"(a) Whoever, being an officer, employee, contractor, or consultant of the United States, and, by virtue of his office, employment, position, or contract, becomes possessed of documents or materials containing classified information of the United States, knowingly removes such documents or materials without authority and with the intent to retain such documents or materials at an unauthorized location shall be fined under this title or imprisoned for not more than five years, or both.
(b) For purposes of this section, the provision of documents and materials to the Congress shall not constitute an offense under subsection (a)"

When he was VP (up until Jan 20, 2009) he was also authorized to possess classified information by executive order.

The only time period that is in question is between the time he stopped being VP and started being POTUS. During that time, since he was not a government official or employee, 18 U.S. Code § 1924 also does not apply to him.

The only law that COULD apply to him during that time is the same one that applies to Trump after he left office, and that's the Espionage Act of 1917. The relevant text is:

"whoever, for the purpose of obtaining information respecting the national defence with intent or reason to believe that the information to be obtained is to be used to the injury of the United States, or to the advantage of any foreign nation .... lawfully or unlawfully having possession of, access to, control over, or being entrusted with any document ... relating to the national defence, wilfully communicates or transmits or attempts to communicate or transmit the same and fails to deliver it on demand to the officer or employee of the United States entitled to receive it ... shall be punished by a fine of not more than $10,000, or by imprisonment for not more than two years, or both."

Biden didn't willfully communicate or attempt to communicate National Defense Information to anyone and he did not fail to deliver it to an officer of the US entitled to receive it, but Trump did both. That's the difference.

No he was not exempt. He had the stuff at his homes and offices.

I can't wait to find out which secrets were sold and "bag boy'd" by Hunter. 😃

Removing for work maybe (I work with the stuff daily and have never heard that) but once he NEVER RETURNED IT, it becomes a security violation that anyone else would be prosecuted for.

But sure keep embracing ignorance and trying to carry water for this fossil, I wont bother replying because the ignorance is giving me a headache.

also removing things from a sap there should be a paper trail, odd that has never been brought up.

Although he was extremely careless in his handling of classified material, no reasonable prosecutor would bring charges.

And here I thought that Biden's dementia was a newly developed disease. Evidently he had it even when he was a senator and VP.
