Trump Denounces Ramaswamy

“Vote for ‘TRUMP,’ don’t waste your vote! Vivek is not MAGA,”

Trump said as he arrived in Iowa on Saturday night. The comments, which appeared in a social media post, ended what had been an informal marriage of convenience with the 38-year-old Ohio entrepreneur and first-time political candidate.

“Vivek started his campaign as a great supporter,”

Trump told followers on his platform Truth Social

. “Unfortunately, now all he does is disguise his support in the form of deceitful campaign tricks. Very sly, but a vote for Vivek is a vote for the ‘other side’ — don’t get duped by this.”

Ouch. Sounds like Ramaswamy must have said or done something to piss his majesty off.

Ramaswamy responded by suggesting that Republicans needed a back-up plan to prevent a more establishment candidate — like Haley — from becoming the nominee if Trump is knocked out by multiple legal challenges.

“I respect the hell out of Trump. He’s the best president of the 21st century. I’ve defended him at every step against the unjust persecutions,” he said in a statement. “But open your eyes to the hard truth: This system will stop at nothing to keep this man away from the White House. Just because it’s wrong doesn’t mean it won’t happen.”

Now this sounds like a sound plan, have a backup plan. But I guess his majesty doesn't see it that way. It is as it always has been with him, ''my way or the highway''.

Or maybe it's some of that 4d chess it is so famously claimed he engages in, you know, always one step ahead. Maybe he is trying to paint Ramaswamy as a bad guy to sucker moderates into voting for him instead of the others and in so doing, will have a faithful acolyte to run instead of the meat head or the , oh, what's that name he calls Haley now? Oh yeah, ''Birdbrain''. That's what he called her til he started calling her ''Niki New Taxes''

Why wouldn’t he sway voters away from Vivek since they’re both running for president?

Vivek has said many times Trumps time has come and gone.
Besides this means nothing after Harris insinuated Joes a racist and he made her VP.

Back in August Trump praised him because he said Trump was the best potus of the 21st century. He has always said he would back Trump and if needed pardon him on day one if he were to be elected. My point here is that even though having a back up plan is always a good idea, Trump cannot stand that. To him it is him or no one. Ramaswamy even suggesting that a back up plan is a good idea is unfaithfulness to Trump because,I think, Trump is not a conservative or a Republican, he is only his own delusion of his own superiority.

Duh, any candidate isn't going to tell people to vote for the other guy. "Vote for me!" has been ongoing since George Washington.

It makes a LOT of sense for Ramaswamy to praise Trump. There are many, many people who would love to have someone much younger with Trump's mettel and Vivek could pull in those votes away from Trump if he's convincing enough.

I have concerns about another rich, priveleged, lawyer golden child magically appearing on the scene with the ability to charm the pants off of a snake; too reminiscent of Barry O.
If it's too good to be true, it probably isn't-and V.R. seems way too perfect.

Sounds like politics......

Niki is toast no way he tries there she is radioactive, He hates desantis because people tried to hold him up to supplant trump, that leave ramaswamy as the most likely he wants to play a part in the rest of the election and probably in his administration assuming he wins.

Hey hey, I agree. When Trump first hit the stage my immediate reaction was ho boy, this guy could be for real, but then watching him for a short while clued me into his con. So too Ramaswamy. At first I thought maybe this would be a good vote but watching him over the period since last August, I think you you are right. His pitch is to perfect.

Tend to agree this is an ill advised comment from Trump.
There is no need. Ramaswamy votes are not going to hurt Trump in the primaries, but pissing off his voters now WILL hurt him in a general election. Sure, not many would peel off, but even a small percentage could be the difference.
Trump simply doesn't know when to not be on the attack against the competition. He can't alienate everyone outside his core base and win IMO, because this core base simply isn't big enough. Just recently a poll showed the majority of Americans think he should be removed from ballots.

I think Ramswamy is right, Trump has zero chance of winning the Presidency back. It isn't happening no matter what his supporters claim and hope for.
Republican voters must be some of the most stupid people on earth. They are literally mobilising behind Haley as the main non Trump choice and falling for the establishment plan. It's similar to the last election where some stayed at home because Trump wasn't 100% perfect - and they got Biden as their reward. Guys like David Knight pushing his listeners to stay at home. Dumb beyond belief.

At one point a few months back Trump was asked about him and he said he was impressed. Now .. not so much. Honestly, Trump doesn't get along with people very well. His policies are good. His personality ... not so much. He ends up turning on everyone.

Personally I want to him to show a little class and professional decorum instead of routinely insinuating everyone in his party is a liar and a crook. Vivek has done nothing but defend his dignity and reputation during this entire campaign. Not one attempt to smear #45 for easy political points. Not once. But he wears a shirt with Trump's name on it and insert joker quote here.

Trump doesn't own MAGA. He doesn't. It has nothing to do with trump. It has everything, absolutely everything to do with the America First movement. Putting the totality of MAGA in the hands of one singular individual defeats the purpose of making America great again, reviving WE the PEOPLE as the true republic described in our constitution.
