I just had to repost this.

Despite being an avid wildlife photographer, retired postman Rodney Holbrook never expected to capture a Ratatouille-style scene unfolding in his own shed.

After regularly discovering that things from the night before had been mysteriously tidied, he set up a night vision camera on his workbench.

It captured a mouse picking up clothes pegs, corks, nuts and bolts.

He has since nicknamed the well-kept rodent Welsh Tidy Mouse.

What a clever creature!

He/she deserves a big chunk of mature cheddar. 🧀

Found it on YT, too.

It would have been really cool if the mouse wheeled in a tiny Shop-Vac.

He had a friend with a mouse that did the same!

Bless.

We have rescued a few from our cats.

Wood mice. Kept two in a mouse tank for a year and a bit. Assumed they were same sex. Loved their wheel.

Then one day, lots of squeaking. They'd had babies!

Reared and released them.

Bless their little mousey 💕

I recently saw a video of a squirrel leaving a cookie for a woman who had been feeding it. She found the cooking on a ledge outside of her house and was confused as to where it had come from. The area was covered by a security camera and she saw video of the animal climbing up to the ledge with the cookie in its paws and leaving it on the ledge.

ETA: Here it is ...

There is so little we concider when regarding the complexities of animals thinking abilities.... it goes so much deeper than them being just an animal with a peanut for a brain. Then again at our house we are like the ancient Egyptians with our cats. They know things....
