A unique and interesting take on Leonard Cohen's "Everybody Knows"

OK, one more surf tune. The Neanderthals doing Bowie's "Space Oddity".

The original. One of the comments is great. "David Bowie didn’t die, he is just floating in the most peculiar way.

I always loved the line "Planet earth is blue, and there's nothing I can do."

Their version is the best, imo.
I love Concrete Blond. Their song "Joey" is a masterpiece.

I completely agree. "Joey" is a beautiful sad love song. Great song, great band!

I think "Caroline" might be my favorite song by them.

Wow! You guys do a great "Baja" cover.

Here's the great Leslie West doing a cover of The Beatles song "Dear Prudence". As a guitar player, you will appreciate his tone.

What a fantastic, bluesy take! thanks for posting

Here's the version that I knew in my youth -

Thanks man, it was a fun time for me. The band was made up of me and my 2 daughter's high school boyfriends plus their friend Wyatt on bass. They knew very little about surf music and wanted to learn.

Fast forward 10 years and both girls are getting married to these same 2 kids this year - now I feel REALY old LOL.

I saw them once. I didn't realize it was Patricia Morrison from The Gun Club on base.

All three versions are great.
Was Luther Grosevenor in the band then?

Here's another Yo La Tengo number. The Cures 'Friday I'm in Love'. Very relaxing!

Not yet, I think it was Mick Ralphs' last record with them.

Here's a strange one:
Bowie covering his own song that he gave to Mott!

And the original release

When I would spin in Philly and NYC during the late 90's and early 2k's certain songs always brought everyone to the floor.
The obvious choices being applicable for Bauhaus, SOM, Siouxie, LAM, Wolfsheim and others...others like Concrete Blonde with Bloodletting (The Vampire Song)

Those were (are) some great bands.

The Clash covers an old Booker T & the M.G.s instrumental:

Of course they also did a stellar remake of this obscure rockabilly tune -

So many cover versions could post here, glad to see some Clash covers......there's a few more not already posted.

Mark E Smith was a true legend, here's a Kinks cover done by his band The Fall.

The original.
