If you haven't seen it, you need to. There are many stories about that day, and the left is actively engaged in gaslighting the events.
There was violence, there were people who attacked police. Even if some where feds, not all were. I have not seen anyone deny that to this day. But I have seen lefties claim that "the right" calls it totally peaceful. That's a total lie someone with little intelligence might say.

So there is no confusion of the events, a speech by Trump was attended by a lot of people. Most of them were angry and felt (still feel) like the election was not as secure as we were told. We know many facts that show a cohesive effort to suppress facts and propel Joe Biden from his basement to the White house.

So prior to that day, President Trump, and some other people asked for more security to be deployed. Trump's reason was to protect his supporters. Steve Sund had a job to protect his police and the Capitol. He made several requests for added support before that day, and screamed for support ON that day. For doing his job, he was fired/asked to leave.

This has become a partisan event. Most are stuck in their mindset, and will not entertain facts that go against their bias. But to ignore reality is unhealthy at best. Reality shows that more than likely, the events of this were anticipated and expected by those in charge. This event was used to remove Trump from office (which failed) and it is still being used for the same purpose. The events of that day do not require you to sacrifice your hatred for Donald J. Trump. You can hate him with ever fiber of your being, and still understand that this event was willfully perpetrated by both unsuspecting public, and leadership in our government.

If you wish to disparage the source, feel free, you can post anything you like. But if you make more than one post about how you don't like the source, I'll flag it to be removed. Having professional agitators try to do their work here is not appreciated.

Congress needs to start a real investigation this year and pass it over to the Trump administration department of Justice next year.

Democrats want time limitation statutes to expire before any of them can be indicted for 2020 election fraud, and the cover up that followed.

I haven't seen all the footage- just what the hard left keeps playing while calling it an attempt to overthrow the government (lol)

from what I have seen, it was far more peaceful than the "mostly peaceful" riots of the past few years before that, where there was looting, burning down buildings, beatings, and generally no rule of law.

so a more than mostly peaceful demonstration is overthrowing democracy, but burning cities to the ground is considered a non issue...

from where I stand, it looks like the media outlets should be shut down. they don't report any facts, just what they want people to think.

His interview with the Chief of the Capitol Police at the time was much more informative in my opinion. Particularly about what did and didn't happen in the days leading up to it and the response during.

This is not about the violence that happened.
This is not really even about Trump himself.
This is about people having the nerve to challenge their power and question the narrative...and those people must be made an example of so none ever try it again.

I question the "140 officers assaulted", but be that as it may...

As usual, the conservative media and politicians got a late start, but they need to keep contradicting the narrative loudly and incessantly.

These rioters and/or their ancestors, paid for the construction and continual upkeep of the US Capitol..

Those who destroyed private property and took lives across America in 2020 were the real nut-jobs.

That's what Biden, his Democrats, and old school Republicans are attempting to do.

But as with most of their schemes, this will backfire on them too, in a huge way.

Records rebut claims of unequal treatment of Jan. 6 rioters

Republican allies: The Justice Department is treating them harshly because of their political views while those arrested during last year’s protests over racial injustice were given leniency.

Court records tell a different story.

An Associated Press review of documents in more than 300 federal cases stemming from the protests sparked by George Floyd’s death last year shows that dozens of people charged have been convicted of serious crimes and sent to prison.

The AP found that more than 120 defendants across the United States have pleaded guilty or were convicted at trial of federal crimes including rioting, arson and conspiracy. More than 70 defendants sentenced so far have gotten an average of about 27 months behind bars. At least 10 received prison terms of five years or more.

Okay then even the AP seems to miss a few things. For instance I notice no mention of the pre-trial detention in solitary confinement. That is not a standard procedure. The biggest omission I see is the biggest crime from the "summer of peaceful protests"" no mention of the attempted succession of the Chaz zone. That was text book insurrection, but what federal charges were ever brought? There was a felon bringing guns to the people doing it. Again where is the outrage over that event? Let's see you defend this!

Granted, but she wasn't murdered by a protestor.

Her family recently filed a lawsuit.

There was outrage, and it got labeled insurrection. And I don’t think the BLM get charged with domestic terrorism like the 6th convictions.

HOLY SH*T: Supreme Court will review 1512(c)(2), obstruction of an official proceeding case.

This is felony used against 300+ J6ers and represents half of Jack Smith's indictment against Trump.

If SCOTUS determines DOJ has misused the statute...will be a game changer.

Again. The violence on Jan 6th was wrong.

And I still don’t get how the willful decision not to enforce immigration law in itself isn’t insurrection.

Authorities knew days ahead and they saw what they think they saw on Jan6. So why was there a failure to have reinforcements on standby? Something not adding up and it will be exposed this year before the election. 😀

Ummm... Steven Sund was the Chief of Capital Police at the time (the time leading up to 1/6 and that day)...

Tucker interviewed him twice - once while he was with Fox News, which never aired, and since it never aired, he decided to interview him again.

It is the same interview.

Not plain and simple.
She was fully aware of her decision and I'm sure she was aware of the consequences.
If not that's on her.
She has a history of crap and it showed and got her removed from society.
