A pro-Trump rioter who became the object of rampant Jan. 6 conspiracy theories — pushed by prominent GOP lawmakers and former President Donald Trump himself — should go to jail for six months for his role in the Capitol riot, federal prosecutors said Tuesday.
Ray Epps committed “felonious” conduct that day, Assistant U.S. Attorney Michael Gordon said in a 29-page sentencing memo that often warrants stiffer sentences than what the Justice Department is seeking. But his extraordinary suffering at the hands of pro-Trump forces who falsely accused him of being a government agent, the prosecutor said, warrants a more generous sentencing recommendation.

Poor Ray Epps. You read this article and you can't help but feel sorry for the guy. It also helps if you didn't see the two part special Revolver did featuring Ray Epps trying to convince people to "go into the Capitol!", watching him order a group to tear down barricades, and see him leading the group to engage the police. There is enough video evidence against him to make him the most aggressive of all the people charged in the Jan 6th riot. But as the article states, he was singled out and those MAGA folks were mean to him, so he should get off easy.

So they chanted he's a "fed" but the "Patriots" were so stupid they attacked cops anyway, even though they spent a year yelling "back the blue" and " law and order"? According to you, they were told he was a fed and did it anyway.

According to me at some point, people near him thought he was over the top... What is your point again? In your so-called "attack on the cops" was them pushing on the barriers to get past them.
Are you really going to use Jan 6 which was a few hours long and ended into a nothing burger as people went home as the BIG thing about Conservative violence when we had years of massive burning and crime with many deaths and billions lost to small businesses with people chanting defund the police as the other side's example to compare?

Ohh the evil left....dude go play that tune to people that care about your meaningless opinion.
You people are the only ones talking about the dude. Literally only the right is focused on that guy.
And let's not even get started on all the crap coming from the other side.
You lost and it stings because you feel cheated when in reality you lost because your not good.
Get over it and get a tissue because you seem to cry often.

The OK and PB were convicted because some were there using communications with the leaders who were off site, but had a playbook and a coordinated plan to hold the Capitol. Granted it wasn't the best plan and failed, but they tried. I have done so before, but would be happy to link to some downloadable pdfs of documentation of evidence of their communications, play book, conversations, posts, messages, etc.
