www.politico.com...

A pro-Trump rioter who became the object of rampant Jan. 6 conspiracy theories — pushed by prominent GOP lawmakers and former President Donald Trump himself — should go to jail for six months for his role in the Capitol riot, federal prosecutors said Tuesday.

Ray Epps committed “felonious” conduct that day, Assistant U.S. Attorney Michael Gordon said in a 29-page sentencing memo that often warrants stiffer sentences than what the Justice Department is seeking. But his extraordinary suffering at the hands of pro-Trump forces who falsely accused him of being a government agent, the prosecutor said, warrants a more generous sentencing recommendation.

Poor Ray Epps. You read this article and you can't help but feel sorry for the guy. It also helps if you didn't see the two part special Revolver did featuring Ray Epps trying to convince people to "go into the Capitol!", watching him order a group to tear down barricades, and see him leading the group to engage the police. There is enough video evidence against him to make him the most aggressive of all the people charged in the Jan 6th riot. But as the article states, he was singled out and those MAGA folks were mean to him, so he should get off easy.

I feel like in the very near future, we will get some truth in all this. And the truth is something I believe looks a lot like a FED surrection. A new president, a new investigation into this, and new leadership with the FBI and DOJ might be enough. But to ignore it at this stage would be nuts. The left has clung to this as their last remaining life raft in a sea of lies.

Strange argument for the prosecution to use as all Jan6th nutters were relentlessly mocked; especially the shaman guy - are they arguing he should get similar lenient sentencing as for being a world famous knuckle-dragger?

No government “agents” were pushing critical race theory and the falsehood of the 1619 project? But yet it gained a following of teachers that pushed it in school.

Shrugs. Who knows what one really believes, why, and what side they are willing to take “one for the team” for?

But the 1619 project is a clear example the left will hang beliefs on provable falsehoods. Makes you wonder if the same people believe falsehoods concerning Jan 6….

And just you wait for that Mueller report. 😁

The question is will he get raped in prison? IMO thats why he only got six months as prison planet will know via their network that hes a FED stoolie and they will clip him in six months. So does the DOJ.

In brief IMO the DNC, USDOJ and FBI want him dsappeared before the 2024 elections ramp up.

Do you realize that the US of A takes out many of their own when they are done with you, me or him. They have been doing that well before the Clintons ever showed up. The DNC , DOJ and FBI are done with him. Hes now set up for either a hit or suicide in prison.

Thats also what they are trying to do to Trump. But gol dang that man has iron ballz, a minx for a wife and an accessory for his "henry"

Old Ray massively influenced the people around him to get violent at a level no one else was doing, but was never charged or really investigated like so many others. He was so plainly on many videos that one would think he would have been the Liberal poster child of Jan 6, but they were like Ray Epps who? Over and over... Why did the Proud Boys get 15 to 20+ years and were not even there, and Ray was a massive instigator to the point the crowd started chanting Fed...

So they chanted he's a "fed" but the "Patriots" were so stupid they attacked cops anyway, even though they spent a year yelling "back the blue" and " law and order"? According to you, they were told he was a fed and did it anyway. Seems like they were going to do it regardless, or are just utterly brain dead. I mean considering in the court cases, their posts and messages, etc have been entered into evidence that many of them brought their guns, tasers, knives, hammers, bats, sharpened flag poles and hockey sticks, etc with them for the "peaceful" protest.

The OK and PB were convicted because some were there using communications with the leaders who were off site, but had a playbook and a coordinated plan to hold the Capitol. Granted it wasn't the best plan and failed, but they tried. I have done so before, but would be happy to link to some downloadable pdfs of documentation of evidence of their communications, play book, conversations, posts, messages, etc.

all of them did? I'm not sure you have any idea what you are talking about. In fact, it's obvious you haven't a clue.

According to me at some point, people near him thought he was over the top... What is your point again? In your so-called "attack on the cops" was them pushing on the barriers to get past them.

Are you really going to use Jan 6 which was a few hours long and ended into a nothing burger as people went home as the BIG thing about Conservative violence when we had years of massive burning and crime with many deaths and billions lost to small businesses with people chanting defund the police as the other side's example to compare?

Ohh the evil left....dude go play that tune to people that care about your meaningless opinion.
You people are the only ones talking about the dude. Literally only the right is focused on that guy.
And let's not even get started on all the crap coming from the other side.
You lost and it stings because you feel cheated when in reality you lost because your not good.
Get over it and get a tissue because you seem to cry often.

🤣
Speaking of meaningless opinions…..

It failed because nothing was ever initiated. I'm sure people talk all the time about what-ifs. This was more of a thought police type situation with nothing physically done.

The Proud boys came from my area and are not far Right. They were mainly just anti-ANTIFA but held a wide range of political beliefs that were more constitutionalist than anything else. They are also not some White extremist group with many of them not white...lol They were a group that was tired of cities allowing ANTIFA, BLM, and just criminals to do what they wanted. Because of that, they were banned from Portland and DC etc because they were willing to stand in the way of true criminals and anti-Americans. I'm sure the leader got 20+ years because of burning a BLM flag the year prior in DC than anything he did on Jan 6.
